So that everyone knows what the true circumstances were I will say what I know as Fact. Jennifer was having problems living in my mothers house in Palmdale. We have separate fathers and I was living in the Palm Springs area at the time. She called me and asked if she could come stay with me until she can find a place in my area she had around $1500 and state aid. We found a place 1 Bd $800 per month as I remember? With an offer for him to work onsite and take the deposit off his check in increments. I thought it was a great offer but he declined so I said to Jennifer " if he doesn't want to work you and the baby can stay but he cannot" I will re-live these words everyday, because the next day I woke up at 6am to a text on my phone saying basically thanks for nothing we are going to Washington to his mothers house I will never know if she actually sent that text from her phone or not. A few days later my mother called me and said "I hope you had nothing to do with this" I asked what???? she said that he showed up at her place in Palmdale without Jennifer and told her she was arrested at the welfare office. when 24 hrs passed she went to file a missing persons report. when she returned she said he left a note saying "you guys deserve this" and her safe was open $8k jewelry missing and 10k cash. she said she filed a report. I was shocked but not thinking my sister was in danger, this story sounded weird to me I FB messaged him and asked where is my sister? he responded "we're better off without your Evil family". I had been planning to move to Oregon and did, one day I was googling names looking for any information and found he was arrested for sleeping in city hall. I called OR state police and asked,,where is my sister and explained the story? He said he would forward this to the FBI. I will never forget him saying "We don't take our missing person reports in crayon,this doesn't feel right" and L.A. Detectives confirmed this did happen. I moved back to CA in 2013 and contacted L.A. to find out what I can do because nothing made sense. I agreed to sit down with them at my local sheriff office where I gave DNA. They had no idea her van was found at a park and ride with all of her belongings including her dads ashes and cell phone (which my mother says was used to call adoption agency's and I hope is true but also hasn't been proven) because she was the co-signer on the minivan she wound up with all of Jennifer's belongings. Mr. Riffenburg knows the real story but has given several unverifiable ones and to my knowledge has still not been interviewed by L.A. I don't know what happened after I last saw them and not a day goes by that I don't think about every detail and lament on what I could have done differently. All of this info has been given to L.E. but the classification changes depending on who I reach at missing persons, I have been told so many different things over the years, the worst is the not knowing... I desperately want my sister back. again TY everyone for caring.
