Just saying correlation does not mean causation.

And there still is doubt in the SP case.

Do you also support the conspiracy theory of the smiley face killer?

I don't have any reason to believe there is presently a SK operating in the Redding area. But THIS CASE appears to be foul play.

I'll leave SP out of this particular post...one of these things is not like the other.

I'm familiar with the crimes of Keith Jespersen. What conspiracy?

Thank you miss gulf. I live in SF and it just seems like over the years there's been many women who go missing in the area that don't receive attention from LE or the media. I do feel like LE is quick to call it voluntary, possibly because of lifestyle. Their families most certainly don't believe they left voluntarily and are active in their search.
Everything IMO..

Worst case scenario:

While she was changing her tire the wrong person drove by, got out to "help her", and you know..........

I would hate to think that though and I hope she is found real soon.

The fact that she changed her tire indicates she meant to continue driving. The fact that she is now missing indicates that something is wrong. If she isn't walking up and down the road, something askew happened. That's 100% suspicious. She may have voluntarily stopped, voluntarily changed her tire, and even voluntarily began walking, maybe. But I doubt she's voluntarily missing.

Agreed, and exactly where my mind went the second I read the first article.

I am VERY familiar with this area of Hwy 36 and Wild Mad Rd. Neither my husband or I have any sliver of cell service (AT&T and Verizon) when we are in the area. Area is essentially the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Only services in the area are the recently reopened Wildwood Inn which is about 1-2 miles up off Wildwood Rd (different from Wild Mad), a forest service office miles away and some remote houses. These are all miles away). Seriously nothing in the immediate area except a campground along the river on the east side of Wild Mad. It is mostly forest service roads.

The area is busy during deer season, but with the recent weather and only certain hunting seasons open I wouldn't expect many people to be in the area this time of year.

According to officials from the Norcal Alliance for the Missing, the vehicle of 44-year old Jessica Roggenkamp was found off Highway 36, near Wild Mad Road, early Saturday morning by Fish and Game personnel.

"Her keys were found in the vehicle, which was locked."

Sounds like she accidentally locked herself out of the car. If she hitchhiked .....

Oh no! What about wild animals? Has there been a search?

That is not good. Ugh. Not a good feeling.

If she was headed to Igo from Anderson, she drove well past it. Hmmmm

What did I miss? How do we know she changed the tire and where? How do we know she drove her vehicle to this spot and not someone else?

Are they sure she is the person who abandoned the car?

And this other road parallel north of Highway 36 - 30 N 22 - what appears to be dense forest - has that area been searched?

LE can say / not say what they will, but if enough women are missing (I-5 corridor has a long history of being a major serial killer hub), people are already going to be in a panic.

I drive the I-5 corridor in Northern Cali a lot. Nothing but big rigs at night. No surprise at all that there might be some Serial Killers cruising that area at 3 am. Helpful truckers offering to give her a ride to a gas station up the road?

If she was on Highway 36 (BTW JMOO looks like a major death trap with all its curves and dense wooded areas) at that hour of night, got a flat tire, her keys locked in the car (exactly what year Ford Mustang?) it doesn't look good at all.

Have there been any searches of the area her car was found? After looking at the map and seeing how far past Igo she drove, I guess LE is indicating by "voluntary" they think she is a suicide? Because it makes no sense to me that she would change a tire and keep on going. Also makes no sense to hike off into the woods in the middle of the night/early morning hours. If my car broke down there and there is no cell signal...I would turn on my flashers and hope someone stopped and then only crack my window enough to ask anyone who stopped to please drive up the road and call police to come assist me. I would wait in my car until daylight before walking out of there. It is not a good road to walk on. There is hardly even a shoulder to safely walk on or pull off on: https://www.google.com/maps/place/C...29f30ccba43039!8m2!3d40.3892742!4d-123.068679

If I'm looking to commit suicide, no way I'm changing a tire for the last hours of my life.
