The link you sent included another woman (Amy Snow) missing from Salyer, CA on 11/26/16 but I can't seem to find any info on her. I don't want to take away from JR, just looking for advice on how to dig deeper to see if there are any connections.

https://www.facebook.com/Help-Find-Amy-Snow-1709524072710234/

The search today would have ended around dusk, so around 5 pm. It's after 7 pm and there are no updates to the HF JR Facebook page. I do hope she's in a safe place.

This posting by Nor-Cal Alliance for the Missing was added this evening. Very sobering.

Salyer, CA, Lewiston, CA, and Road 30 at Hwy 36 are all in Trinity County. Salyer is the closest to the Pacific Ocean. Amy Snow is reported missing from Salyer, Stacey Smart is reported missing from Lewiston, Jessica Roggenkamp's car was found on Road 30 near Hwy 36.

Wikipedia says:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salyer,_California
Salyer is an unincorporated community in Trinity County, California. Salyer is located on State Highway 299, 52 miles (84 km) east of Eureka and 93 miles (150 km) west of Redding. The ZIP Code is 95563.

I remember reading about Amy Snow. The only information I could find was a repeat of the info on the HF Amy Snow fb page.

Its almost 10:30 pm and there's still no word about the search on the HFJR FB page, except "no updates" about three hours ago in answer to a question. I snooped around though and her mom says they found nothing. :( Not official, of course, but I got tired of waiting. On one hand, finding nothing is good, but it doesn't answer the "where is Jessica" question.

I don't know how far out 30/Wild Mad Road her car was parked. However, I just "drove" the road on google maps satellite view and it is indeed a wild, mad road to drive on. I can't imagine what was going on with Jessica. Please be safe somewhere.

This is a link to Trinity County Sheriff's News Reports. Amy Snow is not included in the reports. There was a home invasion in Salyer on 10/19/16 and seven LE agencies were involved. "On Friday, August 12, 2016 the Trinity County Narcotics Task Force along with Officers from the California Highway Patrol and the U.S. Forest Service served a search warrant on the Claborn property in Hayfork." 119 firearms and two pipe bombs were found. It's not as peaceful as you might think in the woods.

Running with that theory, perhaps we'd then conclude that location was chosen as a way of leaving a message to the daughter.

I don't feel she is voluntarily missing and got lost out there, but I hope I'm wrong. I like your theory better.
I don't think it is either but to me suicide is the least likely. Just because I don't believe a mom would go kill herself where her daughter and her went. It would taint that memory for her daughter. But if she left her car and what not there and ran off with a bf then it could be a message. Honestly the family doesn't seem super worried(I also read she would vanish for a few days sometimes but this is longer than a few) almost as if they think she could have left with a guy or something. I still don't feel she left willingly but for her kids sake I rather it be the case. I think we need to check all other missing or killed women in the area who are around her and Stacy smarts she and (I don't mean this offensively just based on the few photos I've seen) average looking females(are they all moms?) in the area. While the third person I consider average looking also I just don't believe that case but with smart and Jessica it seems a pattern. We should look at body and hair types and stuff in common etc maybe there's someone out there and cops haven't figured it out because they were so busy dealing with the bigger case which to me if I'm right and that doesn't turn out to have been real then it upsets me even more knowing the amount of time spent on it and not on ladies who don't have tons of photoshopped airbrushed photos to make them more interesting to the media. It makes me mad to see what feels like them not all getting equal attention but maybe the cops are just been tight lipped cause they're looking into the bear hunter or caltran people. And to me tight lipped says they are not wanting to release info that let's some predator they suspect know they suspect him.

Hope I never get lost or disappear in Shasta/Trinity/Redding area. Since I am more than 12 years old, I'm sure they would just say "voluntary missing" and ignore me, as they have ALL the other ladies in missing cases in that area.

I try not to be critical of LE, especially as it appears many of these smaller communities are extremely understaffed. That said (having grown up in a small town where everyone knows each other), I do worry that the "good ole boy" network could be limiting some of the investigating. IMO, the squeaky wheel gets the grease and unless the family is screaming from the rooftops, missing persons cases like these 3 women never get the attention needed and deserved. :(

Thanks for the link, marinthinker! There was a burglary on 11-16-16 in broad daylight involving over 44 lbs. of marijuana in which the chase led into the areas of Harrison Gulch and Igo (areas specific to this case). Question for the locals....is the trafficking of marijuana attributed to the high crime in these northern California counties? I recall reading an article about Humboldt county and the presence of both drug and human trafficking. It stated that LE is pretty much non-existent as those engaged in these activities basically make their own rules (paraphrasing).

I also live in a small town, where for years they've called every death a suicide, even the ones that obviously weren't.

How tidy! And no one wondered why the townspeople were so depressed? My, but it does make investigations easy.

Trinity and Humboldt counties have been well known, for a long time, as major marijuana grow areas. Part of the Emerald Triangle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerald_Triangle . Vast expanses of National Forest lands, sparse isolated communities and small sheriff staffs covering thousands of square miles. For the most part, the growers stay to themselves until harvest time when they have to transport their season's work.
The majority of crime can be attributed to AB109 https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=ab+109 and Prop 47 https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=prop+47 These have released lower level offenders back into the communities or filled local jails. Local jails no longer have room for low level offenders, so they commit crimes, bet booked, no room, released and commit again. It's almost a joke and the criminals know it.
I don't think human trafficking is near the problem that drug trafficking is. If you go to Google earth, zoom into the intersection of Hwy 36 and Hwy 3 (further west from the WildMad Road). All those little dots in the forested lands? Zoom in close. All those are under the guise of Prop 215 https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=prop+215

Thank you for your post. I hadn't thought about it before, but the marijuana industry is similar to other agricultural crops. There are growers, harvesters, trimmers, distributors, and end sales persons. Local folks often do the growing, harvesting, and trimming. I wonder where the distributors come from... I suspect that that they use I-5 to run up and down the west coast and local roads to reach the growers in the Emerald Triangle. Maybe there are several sets of distributors, each specializing in a segment of the distribution chain.

Amy Snow, Stacey Smart, and Jessica Roggenkamp were last seen on what I would consider a possible "distribution route".

Do I understand correctly that Jessica is married, but in the middle of a divorce?

That's what I've read ether on social media comments by friends or family. Some almost made it sound like she was trying to get away for the night but since it's all social media stuff Ed hard to say but supposedly she was getting divorced.

BBM. With Snow and Smart during prime harvest season. Jessica is at the tail end of harvest/trimming, but could be related to distribution timing.

Lol...yes.....and there was one true suicide that they wouldn't let the public know, because it was the adult child of a US Government Official and that would have caused a scandal. SMH
