I believe the VM’s automatically delete after 2 weeks unless the user flags them as saved.

But you would of assumed that LE would of gone straight to his phone provider and got access to his mobile phone messages.

I noticed that all the other L & C playlists were updated yesterday. All of them except McStay. I wonder why that is.

Addi said she was not getting the footage as quickly as before they pulled out for those few days. She said it will get back to "normal" in a week or two.

IIRC when the T-Mobile guy was there, he said it could be accessed from another phone if you knew the PIN. There was some discussion about whether or not any other T-Mobile user could access the VM as well from their own phone or something, I'm not sure that it was really made very clear.

From personal experience, I know that I could use my cell phone to access my home phone VM when I was on holiday's back in the 2000's, I had to call a specific number to do it though. Now, I'm not sure I would bother lol Most people have cell phones now and if they really needed me, they would call my cell haha

You can call the number from another phone and when it's not answered and goes to VM press the star key and then enter your PIN.

I believe this might be the case as well, but am unclear if that only applies to listened to VM's. What I mean is.. if VM's have not been heard, then do they still get purged?

IIRC I am unsure of when Dugal got the records, but I think it was early on? I want to say the 17th of February, but am unsure if I am thinking of the bank lol if he got them on the 17th, 2 weeks prior would have been the 3rd.

I wish either side had asked about that.

If never accessed in the first place, I don’t know for sure, all I know is after listening the system would always ask if I wanted to save for 2 weeks or delete, if you didn’t respond it would automatically save for 2 weeks. There’s a lot of unanswered details and loose ends, this is what leads to and creates reasonable doubt.

I just listened to a bit hoping to hear when he got them, and I didn't hear that, but I did hear that Summer's VM's had messages from Susan/Mike from the time they were missing, so I'm unsure if they would have been purged now because her's weren't lol There is some direct testimony as well, but the cross goes into more detail (Day 6 Part 1 19:46 for direct testimony about them)

You would think. It appears the cops dropped the ball on multiple occasions, it seems they discounted the disappearance because JM was a surfer dude.

Other than your assumption that Chase is the killer here, what evidence is there that Chase had no boundaries.

That he asked Joey's Mom for money after killing her entire family.

What the evidence has shown he did when his victims remains were shown, and how he murdered them all.

Being capable of crushing in the two skulls of two small boys with a sledge hammer shows he has no boundaries to his depravity.

He will stoop as low as a snakes belly, imo. Nothing is too low for him.

The other factor to consider in this being planned in advance, apart from his phone disconnecting from the network for the next 3 hours and 44 minutes, is that it's obvious from the timings of the Mitchley video and the drive distance that Chase probably arrived at the house at about 6.47 pm (1 hour after the call from Joey) and left to move his truck at 7.47 pm.

So while that's plenty of time to kill 4 people it doesn't suggest a visit that turned explosive midway and culminated in murders or decisions on the fly, it suggests a well planned operation, including the time it took to do whatever he did to the bodies quickly to prevent blood transfer to his truck, and take them out of the house.

I believe he probably moved the Trooper so that it wasn't outside the house if anyone who knew them visited, he had several changes of gloves with him for accessing the window and the computer straight after, he had time to think of moving the dogs and putting food in the shed that they could get to, he had keys to consider, phones to take, none of which are time consuming but they do require thought.

IIRC, Macgyver testified that the sledge hammer was at the bottom of the stairs when they were painting. Obviously, it is the murder weapon. Something/someone set him off to grab that and kill them with it, IMO.

Yes. I imagine he is in either protective custody, or in what we call "Administration Segregation," for those who need "extra" security because of their crime(s).

Thank you so somebody did delete messages as messages left between the 4th and 16th are missing and they did find 25 voicemail messages but some of them were from the media after the family were reported missing. So that indicates messages were wiped at some stage.

I went and checked the youtube transcripts (which are not 100%), but a search of "hammer", the only mention is at 54:00 minutes of this testimony, I went back to about 53:00 just to get context.

I think this is one of those things that we *thought* was true, or maybe McGyver said it in another interview or something? But I don't know if it's in testimony. He says he used a screwdriver, and possibly used the screwdriver to close it, when asked by detectives if he would have used a hammer, he said if he had been given one. (from link above)

OT I believe there is a setting so you can hide your status. I usually have the page open on my phone and it probably shows me as green 24/7 haha saves me time looking for the thread when I want to catch up when not home ;-)

I didn't think it was confirmed where the sledgehammer was from, some have speculated that it could have been something in CM's truck. It makes sense that it was in the home because of the renovations they were doing, I just don't know if we have "proof" of that or if anyone has indicated actually seeing that hammer.
