Hey!

Also, this witness is doing the same essential thing as the witness they switched out. He is going to discuss the Faro scan. so the ability to depose and research the witness is very similar and would not need to be totally redone.

WHO is this witness??? Are there more for yesterday?

There is the hearing on Friday the 8th, and Jurors will be back on Tuesday, 3/12. Is what I got from all your postings.

So the pros rested? And Defense asked for dismissal of all charges?

TIA! :)

Thank you for this post citygirl.
I was there in the beginning, with Susan and Mikey posting flyers.
Over time I came to know them a bit, Susan more then Mike.
This family is strong, commited and loving like few we see.
I would be proud to have them as my relatives.
The BS they've endured in Social Media on top of this horrific crime breaks my heart.
Thankfully, unlike other forums, operating years ago and some still today, Websleuths is a victim friendly site.
The remaining McStay family members are victims. As are Summer's remaining family members.
All. IMO.

I have complete empathy for his mother and his brother. Always have always will. All the ill will came from gossipy posts. They were naive! They put it all out there. MOO.

What's really incredible is all the WSers who made 10's of thousands of posts in all of the different threads of the McStay family forum since this family was first missing in 2010. Different theories, quite a few POIs, phone records, financials, maps, locations, warrants, locals who lent their expertise in soil and weather conditions. Mulled around, dissected, re-arranged, put together on timelines, summaries created and re-vamped, many, many times. Watching LE drop the ball, pick it up, and ultimately getting their suspect.

For the many of us who have been here from the start, whether lurking or posting, there's not much, if any, doubt that the right individual was arrested and charged. CM is the only rational conclusion. Whether he gets convicted or not is up to the jury.

Please speak for yourself. Although you can't tell it, I am one of those who followed from early on, and your claim I bold faced above does not apply to me.

Also, there is no correlation between the length of membership here and the ability to make valid arguments.

Many who contributed so immensely to the McStay forum have either gone to other trials, or are not with us, but to those who stuck with it, a huge Thank You!

I liked Dr. Rudin, and he is a very smart man, it's like you could see his "wheels" turning as he was talking. I have a feeling he was just too unpredictable, there were things that he did that he was not asked to do... once he got some calculations, he just did it because that's what he does! I laughed when he told McGee that he would look at whatever they wanted him to ... I would think the prosecution wouldn't like that so much, just not good witness material IMO

I would still like to know if it was the judges ruling or the State's decision though.
I liked him too. He's brilliant. Yes, maybe unpredictable. He also said something about he had just found out that the camera was across the street from the Mcstay residence. Something to that effect. I found that odd.

How can you say that about a mother and grandmother of the two babies who were murdered? It's really disgusting, imo.

I agree, during their testimony I got nothing other than the impression that Mike and Susan are nothing but grieving, totally traumatized family members. You can just see it in both their faces and voice and waiting this long must have been painful.

I was able to get all of day 27 recorded with very little skipping by putting it at .75. If L&C never end-up uploading it or don't do it soon, I'll upload mine to YouTube.

The state's last witness, next week is Eugene Liscio. He's based out of Canada. He is a forensic visualization specialist.

That's interesting info from Cathy Russion's chat, thanks. Wonder why the prosecution has to get their witness from Canada. Weren't they able to find one from the U.S.?

The only witness that actually took the stand today was Ryan Smith, for the millionth time, poor guy.

Then they played a small snippet of the CNN interview, where the defendant stupidly said he was 'definitely' the last person to see the murder victim.

The 'other witness' that people are discussing is the expert witness, that will replace Rudin, when discussing the scanned image of the truck in the surveillance tape.

I cannot remember his name, but it is in this thread, and I will try and find it for you in a bit. He is the witness scheduled for Mar 12th.

The defense asked for a dismissal. But I have never seen a case where the defense failed to make that exact same request.

What difference does it make where he’s from?

Yep, I just went back to his testimony, was looking for something else, but listened for a bit... towards the end of that hearing, he did say to the judge that he deleted some files from the PowerPoint ... and of course, the wheel well thing (it was inconsistent and he could not get it to match), which I don't believe the Prosecution even knew about at that point (there was some sort of issue with the file being sent to the prosecution)... Dr. Rudin continued to make and do calculations, and IIRC even did some calculations to find the angle the camera would have been!

I wish they'd show this video. Too 'prejudicial'? I'd like to claim credit for originally finding this nugget, as when I did it literally had 4 views. As soon as I did I sent it to Mike Mcstay and then Ryan Smith. SHOW THE VIDEO!!

May I ask: so you know Mike McStay? And what's the relevance of this video to the case?
