Considering the YouTube from last Thursday isn’t up yet, it might be a week from now before we get today’s. I’d like to hear what the judge had to say. When it was occurring I could only hear every 5th word.

After I refreshed a few times I could hear almost all of every sentence, but the final word or 2 would drop out. Very frustrating for sure.

I could hear just enough to see that the judge listed just about everything, in a detailed way. Cant wait to hear it on youtube. I hope it doesn't take forever to come back.

Since the above quote assumes Chase did commit the murders: then Joey's brother and mother must have been his accomplice helping buying time for him by keeping delaying visiting the house and doing clean up before police arrived.

Double standard shouldn't be applied.
I don't believe that Susan or Mikey McStay had anything to do with this. No way no how. The only mistake they made was relying on the internet and blogs to help them find answers. MOO.

The judge determined the first Faro witness was not qualified that's not the defense's problem. IMO that should have been the end of it no witness, no Faro testimony. Concerning the defense doing the same as the prosecution did IMO that would also be a violation of the discovery rules.

Well, sorry, but that's not how it works. Just because the judge has an issue with an expert, it doesn't mean that entire line of testimony has to be dumped.

What id the judge had an issue with the forensic accountant that the defense brought forward. Would that mean they could not bring in another as a replacement?

How could any person imagine such a horrible thing? Seriously. How could Mike, Susan or Pat imagine such horror. Come on now.

Folks apparently did not get it. My comment was an argument, not an assertion. An argument that drew its conclusion by following the other poster's reasoning.

Of course I’m assuming he is guilty as he is on trial here :)

I don’t like Susan or Mike but it’s not double standards in the slightest as Chase worked with Joey and was on the phone to him 24/7.

Show me evidence that Susan and Mike McStay were on the phone to Joey 24/7 please to back up what you are claiming that they should of known?.

Mike was lazy in getting over to the house ( see I don’t need to lie) but he wasn’t in close contact like Chase was with Joey.
I have complete empathy for his mother and his brother. Always have always will. All the ill will came from gossipy posts. They were naive! They put it all out there. MOO.

Well, the big blue arrow pointing to a string of black pixels from a frame of the video compared to a photo directly beside it of CM's truck with a duplicate big blue arrow pointing to its tailpipe clued me into figuring that must be the tailpipe being referenced. Of course this also subliminally effects the jury, but that the whole purpose isn't it?
Yep you're right. One big bait and switch.

Everyone here should make it a point to listen to the judges list of evidence, which I think begins at about 1hr and 5 minutes, into the youtube. [ my video on LandC was about 1hr and 5 when he began his list, i believe.]

It is very detailed and vital information. I was very surprised. I hope the jury has been taking good notes...

I wonder if this will change the minds of the L&C talking heads who have a different opinion?

Merritt of course is going to be a good buddy and act all interested and concerned. It worked until the chance unearthing of the desert graves. If not for that Mr Chase would still be making appearances and touting his book.
"Seriously. How could Mike, Susan or Pat imagine such horror."
Like a mother or brother murdering another a family member is unheard of.

Pat said right from the start he knew something bad happened. In fact he was upset with MM for not going over to check the house when he asked him to.

you said:
If Chase murdered the family, why did he alert Joey's brother and insist that he go and check on the family before anyone else raises the alarm? Even the brother wasn't the least concerned and said they may be taking a vacation.

Why did he alert the family?

I think he had to alert others because it would look really bad if he sat back quietly, cashing checks from Joey's account, without mentioning the family was missing.

No one else would raise the alarm for awhile because they did not know his daily routines or know if he went on a spontaneous trip or not. Joey had a history of doing so in the past.

And Chase told Susan that the dogs food and water bowls had been moved around so she thought the family had been around.

Yes. CM was in contact by phone with Joey dozens of times a day. His brother spoke to him less often than that. They were not really that close, in terms of day to day communications.

And in the past, Joey was known to takeoff on spontaneous trips, without telling extended family.

So it makes sense that MM wouldn't feel the need to call 911 at the time. JMO

I would expect my co workers to sound the alarm sooner than my family or friends. IMO, Chase screwed up big time by waiting so long to sound the alarm. He must have been so frustrated that he couldn't get the fire lit under Mike. It is not only what a perp does, it is what they don't do. You and I have followed so many cases, and know that a break in pattern or a change of habit is the biggest smoking gun there is.

Sorry. Was I supposed to get that it was an argument and not an assertion? Totally lost but that ain't so unusual. :D

Is there a reason why last Thursday’s youtube isn't up yet? What’s the problem?

Patrick spoke to Joey nearly every day, IIRC. Did he ever call them in as missing?

If only we could hear them!
Not that I want to but if I wanted to? That being said I could care less what they have to say!

Right, he alerted others, that's because he's guilty. If he didn't alert others, guess why? Because he's guilty.

:D:D:D

I don’t believe Patrick spoke to Joey everyday because if he did he would have called LE when he couldn’t reach Joey, IMO.

I'm sorry I wasnt clear. Yes that's what I meant.

That part wasnt edited out. I heard it too along with everyone who saw it. Lol

It was the DT who wanted that part edited out. Sorry for any confusion.

OBE: I was agreeing with you

I like to hear all opinions and especially from those who have trial experience. :D:D

Mr Merritt said: ‘Three or four days went by and I called Joseph several times a day, but couldn’t get hold of him. That was unheard of because we talked six or eight times a day.

‘On the fourth day I drove out to his house, stopping at his mother’s on the way. I asked if she’d heard from him and she said she hadn’t. She called Mikey (Joseph's brother) and I suggested he meet me out there. I drove out, but Mikey didn’t call me

So this would be conveniently after he got rid of McStay truck at the border and cleaned the crime scene.

ETA- or is just more bad luck on Chase’s part that he just happens to go to Susan on the same day that the truck has been ditched at the border!!
