But the implication is that cheques that were written to MSM from Joey, to be hand delivered by Chase , but were cashed by Chase. Remember, Chase didn't pay MSM for anything according to Sequieda, it was all Joey. (I'm not even sure this is true, but that is what Sequieda and Carmen both said)

So if cheque's were missing, would you agree that that there would be record of it somewhere? Joey's QB or a copy of a cheque he wrote? We know from Carmen's testimony that they had all the cheques paid from Joey to MSM. I also believe the judge asked him if he could remember when that happened, he didn't, when asked for a time frame, before or after the McStay's disappeared, he said maybe a month or so before. (Judge's question to him is on Day 8 Part 4 24:50)

I guess it's possible that he could have cashed a cheque, but I would also think it's more than possible that the prosecution could have actually "shown" that with the materials they have available to them, Joey's QB's, Joey's carbon copies of his handwritten cheques, and all of MSM's cheques that they received from Joey. Sounds pretty easy to me. JMO
I really enjoy your research. But do have a different take and correct me if wrong. Didn't the evidence state that the checks were delivered and not cashed? Metro just getting a payment?

That's what I recall to. CM seemed perturbed MSM did not deposit those checks. IMO MOO

I also find it interesting that "some" witnesses can have a bad memory and it's okay because it was 9 years ago... but others, it makes them look sketchy and unreliable. The prosecution gave her enough credence to put her on the stand IMO

52.00 Insurance job
Insurance job was not completed when family disappeared, there was no argument with Sequeida Sr, with JM about it, MSM later sued MM for the money. ALL other outstanding had been paid by EIP.

I also noted that the fraudulent checks did NOT have the Job Order # in the memo line as JM had done on the previous checks to MSM except one (and of course the lower case text).

Again, Carmen was the "office manager", her knowledge was limited and she was asked things that she would proffer "I don't recall, it may have, he may have, I believe so", etc. CM was not a MSM employee, she would NOT be concerned about his comings and going as she would a MSM employee. She also didn't run the "warehouse", so again, she had limited knowledge about what went on back there. It has nothing to do with memory, she was asked about things that were beyond her purview and pushed for an answer. Sequieda Jr. knew more about what was going on in the warehouse because that's where he worked.
I didn't find her "sketchy or unreliable", I found her, in some cases, trying to answer something she didn't really know because whatever attorney was implying that she should.

I'm seriously hoping, that PM, SB & DK get a chance to blurt some incriminating comments out (towards CM), before the jury. Whether the judge gets whatever stricken from the record or not.

Me too! Me too!

Since the DT likes to ask questions they knew were improper, I think the state should return the favor.

Let the defense be the ones to get up,and yell objection, over, and over again! Two sides can play that game ya know .Ha ha!

Cant unring..a bell!

I have a feeling the DT may get up screaming 'beyond the scope!'

Imo, they are going to narrow the scope of direct wanting to get only specific tidbits out.

Jmo

So why do you think that the prosecution didn't show a cheque written or printed from QB's that Metro never received? They had access to both.
I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about?

There’s a lot of over the the counter and prescription medications in the exhibits. I can’t see what the prescriptions are, but if Joey was taking all these medications, there very well could have been side effects from the interaction between them. With all the allergy medications shown, it would be reasonable to believe Prednisone was one of the prescription medications in the group. JMO
If my husband was hurt in an accident, or worse, investigators would find all kinds of OTC meds in his truck, maybe a prescription or 2 for allergies or antibiotics. Most of the guys I worked with in blue collar jobs would buy the meds and just put them in their glove compartment or center console until they needed them again. It doesn't mean a person is taking them at a particular time. My service truck had bottles of aspirin, Tylenol, cough medicine, OTC allergy capsules, migraine meds, etc. etc., that my crew would leave. Even had a tube of bute for horses that one of the guys used for toothaches.

Yes, this is true. But for a time before the disappearance Susan, Mike, and Chase all said Joey wasn’t feeling well. He was suffering from dizziness and vertigo type symptoms and went to the hospital for treatment. This is what led me to believe the medications were current. But JMO.

Could be? Didn't Summer do the homeopathic stuff also?
I wonder if he was checked for an inner ear problem?

And back in the day for we old nurses? Anything you could possibly want. Those were the days, IMO. MOO and Ha Ha .

IMO I don't think this was from drugs or poisoning. I think he was stressed.

Since you take such good notes... do you recall this? I was listening to part of Dugal's testimony yesterday, and in regards to that light they found in the house.... Maline asked Dugal if he knew that UV lights are used for purification of the water in the water fountains. Of course Dugal didn't know that. But thought it was interesting ;-) Dugal's testimony is so long lol I don't want to have to go looking for it haha

That is NOT what water feature UV lights look like. If the defense tries to go with that, I hope the prosecution is aware of what the real deal looks like. They are much larger and the light is encased.

Those were the cheques that he made and took in after the 4th. They were not cashed right away.

And if you listen to Carmen's testimony, I am pretty sure the State wanted her to say that they didn't cash them because of the signature, but she actually said that she never made the deposits, Dave Sequeida Sr. did and sometimes he held on to cheques way longer than he should have. (paraphrasing)

If you go to 54:00 minutes of the video, she again says that this insurance project was the ONLY job they didn't get paid for.

That's sounds like a good theory, specially for a chilled out surfer dude. Anxiety or the precursor for panic disorder. That'll make you feel woozy, dizzy, and even sick to your stomach. It's also pretty hard to diagnose if you just walk into a hospital, the Docs are looking for physical issues, not mental issues.

...which was after the family was missing.

If Chase cashed a cheque meant for MSM, there would be a record of a cheque that Joey wrote to MSM and they could be cross referenced with the cheques that MSM got from Joey to figure out which one's they "didn't receive" because Chase cashed them. Even the State's forensic accountant could have found that IMO

Just reviewed Mikey's testimony.
Some thoughts.
I could never understand back in the day when people blamed Mikey.
Yet today I am learning that he drove past the house on 2/4 or 2/6. He doesn't really explain why.
Still unclear whether Chase went in to the house or not?
Also not clear about who was there? Sounded like just MM and CM but then learn that MM's wife and children were there? Very confusing. Not that any of this matters.
Why did the DT point out MM's falling out with Summer? Is this to throw shade on him? Also apparent on these videos, MOO, CM DOES NOT WANT TO LOOK AT THE CAMERA. Ever, MOO.

He had been having those symptoms for months, didn't he Mica?

Exactly. He was young, strong and healthy. He had allergies. Big deal. But some big worries as we surmise. He was fine, IMO, but feeling stress maybe? Could have been Chase, could have been Summer, could have been the whole ball of wax.
