I wonder if the Fallbrook house was his first house purchase? that would do it LOL My daughter just bought a house, it's been stressful, and it's a pain in the butt! Paperwork, etc. Although, Joey and Summer both had real estate experience.
Well, think about it. It was their first house. Far from the surfing beach. And it was in foreclosure. All they thought they could afford at the time. And Summer wasn't really sold on it.

Yes. Scattered. But not deceptive and malicious in any way.

I don't think so. But I can see why others would. I think he is like that all the time, and then add the stress of his family missing, and then probably the lack of sleep. Just have to watch the Tim Miller video's to see it.

What information do you think she could provide in the trial?

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1502/10/csr.01.htm
And there was just this like rolling ledger.

KAYE: Chase's debt kept climbing, creating big problems for Joseph's business.

WATSON: Joseph would take ahead if they had a chart (inaudible). If somebody wasn't happy with the work, he'd already paid Chase as part of it.

So when the chart back into the account, it only hurt Joseph and I think it totals about $100,000 worth of mistakes that Chase owed him for.

KAYE: Gina grew so concerned she warned Joseph that Chase was bad news

WATSON: I did raised concerns about Chase that he would use materials that were cheaper or sometimes he would leave somebody high and dry without the fountain or without fixing it.

And Joseph really felt that he could control that aspect of Chase. KAYE: He didn't seem to have any concerns at the time?

WATSON: No. He really kind of blew me off.

KAYE: Joseph's wife Summer was no fan of Chase's either.

WATSON: I know that he wasn't fan of her. I know she wasn't fan of him.

How do we know what was in the book? did they ever find it?

I had questioned whether investigators had ever had the opportunity to read his book. I'm assuming they haven't, if they had surely portions of it would've been entered into evidence for the prosecution. I imagine Chase would have written derogatory statements about Summer and her 'energetic' children that weren't being raised with the corporal punishment method, much to his dismay. (insert eye roll here)

Regardless, I hope some day it is discovered and released. It would be very insightful as to his mindset.

The two cheques for Metro that Chase printed on the 5th and hand-delivered after the murders could be the missing money they were chasing Joey for.

$1650 - misc. manufacture
$250 - copper

It seems that these would not have been invoices that MSM raised in the week of the murders for Carmen to be phoning and emailing Joey that Friday.

I think this is money that Joey already gave to Chase to pay MSM for the supplies, and Chase used it himself. JMO

Just reviewed Mikey's testimony.
Some thoughts.
I could never understand back in the day when people blamed Mikey.
Yet today I am learning that he drove past the house on 2/4 or 2/6. He doesn't really explain why.
Still unclear whether Chase went in to the house or not?
Also not clear about who was there? Sounded like just MM and CM but then learn that MM's wife and children were there? Very confusing. Not that any of this matters.
Why did the DT point out MM's falling out with Summer? Is this to throw shade on him? Also apparent on these videos, MOO, CM DOES NOT WANT TO LOOK AT THE CAMERA. Ever, MOO.
I can't read too much into the dates he said he drove by. He's not even clear on the date. It have been the 10th even. He said he did because no one had heard from them or couldn't get a hold of. But we know that the alarm wasn't sounded until the 9th at the soonest. I was thinking for a long time that he went there before he went with his family, but I thought the visit was with Chase alone. But I know there was an early article stating it.

I wasn’t aware Chase wrote and completed the book. Thought he was starting to write it when arrested.

This has always cracked me up. Being the jaded person that I am , IMO, there are NO OTC drugs to treat anger. Wouldn't that be a panacea? Now, morphine? I am thinking this would cure my anger. MOO.
Well, I use a LOT of homeopathic stuff and I'm sure there's probably something out there for anger. Never researched it, though. I do know, that I spent $400 at the vet last year, for my almost 20yr old cat. They couldn't figure out what was wrong (recommended a $2000 MRI!!). Turned out to be arthritis and the homeopathic meds I've been using, have given her a new lease on life!

That's sounds like a good theory, specially for a chilled out surfer dude. Anxiety or the precursor for panic disorder. That'll make you feel woozy, dizzy, and even sick to your stomach. It's also pretty hard to diagnose if you just walk into a hospital, the Docs are looking for physical issues, not mental issues.
This reminds me of the “Anger” medication that Summer tried to buy. Was she realistically trying to purchase some or trying to confirm that someone was poisoning her husband? Although we will likely never know, it is concerning that CM and JM’s family both believed he was suffering from something and most likely at CM’s hands. IMO
Could she have found a medication labeled as such or maybe CM alleged to her that JM was taking such a medication? CM offering that he did indeed travel to Mexico to buy Viagra is hinky in itself but when you consider that JM complained of symptoms that were undiagnosed is scary. Any medication purchased in Mexico would not be FDA regulated and who is to say what medication CM purchased and who he may have dosed with it?

I am with you. Just can't imagine how he might feel had his drive by been on the 4th or the 6th? In hindsight?

Maybe they will call her in rebuttal... maybe they couldn't corroborate what she said?

That's wonderful. But there are no guarantees with these drugs, IMO.

Snip

On Feb. 4, the day of the disappearance, Summer made her last cell phone call at 2:11 p.m. to a homeopathic medicine company, and an employee remembered it well. It came minutes after an Internet search for the word "Anger" on the company website.

"Summer was adamant that she wanted to purchase a medication called Anger," DuGal said. "They said, 'Ma'am, it doesn't exist.'"

A year later, family's disappearance is a mystery

He said he had some chapters done, said he would bring them, but then said he didn't have access to them but would email them, I don't think he did before he was arrested. IIRC this one of the things they were looking for when they got a computer from Jarvis' Mom.

On the stand initially it seemed like it was only Mike and Chase, but then he mentioned letting in his wife and children. And he second-guessed whether he went upstairs at the time until he remembered his children might have played with some toys up there, so they definitely came inside.

So prior to the trial he has had many years to work on completing his book. Has it been 5 years?

Very confusing testimony. MOO.

For anyone that want's a refresher on Mike's testimony about driving by on the 4th or 6th. It can be found at 6 minutes or so of the video. Reading his statement that he made to Tingley "refreshed" his memory, he can't recall why he went, he can't recall if it was day or night, but he 'thinks' he was driving his work truck. Previous to the 15th, he said he went on the 13th with his family, that's the day he met Chase there. Would he have been able to fit his family into his work truck? I wonder why the defense didn't ask him what his "work truck" looked like? Maybe that's a good reason to call him to testify. JMO

ETA: they also have his cell phone records IIRC maybe either side could place him there or not on the 4th?
