Yes. I listened. I think the jurors are getting restless. Can we discuss the admonishments? Too many days off ? Judge says you can't talk about anything basically.
I thought it was kind of funny when Judge Smith didn't discuss all of the days off.

^^^ Thank you! I believe it's the same in the U.S. I remember in the very early testimonies by MM, the prosecution started mentioning CM's past crime history by alluding that CM didn't want to enter the house because he had a record. IIRC it was objected by DT.

So I really hope people refrain from citing his ex-con status as an argument in favor of CM being guilty of murder.
IMO, he is an ex-con.And he spanked his 4 year old son every 5 minutes for 2 hours so he would conform. His words. And the little one never gave him any trouble after that. What a great father!! A real strong man. Done broke that 4 year old!

He's also known as a master manipulator.

And he was so loving of a parent that he gambled away the family finances and kept them destitute and on the verge of eviction on more than one occasion.

With due respect and in all honesty, I actually thought (and still think), when I read about his burglary crimes, that it's possible he committed the burglary in order to help his family. It reminded me of Jean Valjean who was jailed for 19 years for stealing bread to feed his nephew. :)

What a loving father.

And once more: ex-con not for violent crimes.

Ex-con has no bearing on the trial for the murder

If one wants to focus on violent history, we can't avoid talking about Dan Kavanaugh.

Any evidence of murder, please, 3 months into the trial?

Dan Kavenaugh isn't on trial. He's been ruled out. All water under the bridge. Well past it.

I think Merritt victimized people to feed his gambling addiction, not his family.

It's interesting whenever DK (or some others)'s name is mentioned, it's like an epidemic to be avoided with "he is not on trial".

With all due respect, you're the one who keeps saying you want to stick with the evidence and what's being discussed at trial, or words to that affect. Neither Dan Kavanaugh or Michael McStay are on trial and neither have been charged with any crimes related to the McStays yet you have thrown them out for discussion many times. They are not relevant to this trial so why discuss them?

But he isn't. No epidemic here. Nor is MM or his buddy McGyver or anyone else on the radar. It took a year for LE to investigate. Not a rush to judgement. All roads led to CM.

Any person whom thinks it’s a okay to spank, paddle, whoop, hit, whatever you want to call it, a 4 year old every 5 minutes for 2 hours?

That is 24 hits on a baby

Loving father?

Absolutely disgusting. Maybe take a read on this very website of the abused children and their subsequent deaths from their “loving parents” who felt the need to “beat them up”

I’m appalled

Remember one member said just a few days ago, that Chase "lies in everything"?

Chase lies in everything. So why do you believe what he said here about paddling his son's butt?
That's not me or my words. I do think he lies when it works for him and in his favor. How could he ever think that spanking his little boy every 5 minutes for 2 hours would endear him to anyone? Are we to think he is a strong ole cowboy? A man that knows how to rein his 4 year old in? Why would he lie about that? Certainly doesn't paint him in a good light.

You actually believe this "liar" who "lies in everything" and believe him to the T. :D
Why on earth would he lie about something so disgusting? I absolutely believe him. I think in his warped mind it somehow made him sound like a very caring and loving father when in fact it did the exact opposite.

o_OMy comment was on others comments I read regarding his comment.

How anyone can legitimately equate a man as a “loving father” who spanks a toddler 24 times in a 2 hour time frame is mind blowing. On this very website. Where we read about child abuse on the daily. No wonder.

I can't comment on the statement that he lies about everything but I will say that in the situation he was in, and having murdered the McStay family IMO, it appears to me he would see some advantage in appearing to be honest and transparent by airing some dirty laundry and admitting something others may think of as a character flaw. It's a technique. He is a very practiced manipulator and has been for most of his life, IMO, based on his manner of talking too much, speaking over others, continuing on with sentences he has already started answering when he is interrupted, his many attempts to steer the interview and divert from questions asked.
