I don't know that getting on the witness stand is a good idea, however, he DOES need to proclaim his innocence. In the years since he was arrested I cannot think of one single time he's said "I am innocent. I did not murder my best friend and his family".
He made that statement to Dugal also professed his innocence on the TV interview. However, everyone claims he was lying. It makes perfect sense to me that he has made no statement since his arrest, since even the least competent attorney would advise him against it. jmo

Do you have a link indicating Ramos was demanding an arrest?
Sorry, but it would be a violation of the TOS if I did so. Perhaps, you can follow the suggestion cabo made to me, because this also is a matter of public record.

How is it a violation? Either you have a link or none exists. You're essentially saying Ramos forced detectives to charge Merritt. I haven't seen a corruption charge to support that.

Makes no sense when you are innocent and accused of child murder.

Obviously I've never been in such a situation but I think if I was being accused of killing 2 toddlers and their parents I would profess my innocence to anyone who would listen. :(

Keep searching you'll find it, I have faith in you.

Now see, this is another of those assertions along the lines of your misrepresenting evidence post. His whereabouts have not been “suspiciously concealed” at all. He said he was in Hawaii, the prosecution said he was in Hawaii, his phone pinged in Hawaii and he made purchases in Hawaii. No one is concealing anything. DK is not on trial. He doesn’t have to prove jack, yet because of the defense’s constant allegations against DK, we have the solid evidence we have of him being in Hawaii. I don’t think you want to live in a world where those of us not accused of a crime need to prove where we were at any given time.

Can you share where they showed his phone "pinged" in Hawaii? I must have missed this.

I am one of those that thinks he was lying. I don't believe a word he says. MOO.

It would look better for Merritt to scream his innocence versus hanging his head in shame and silence. In my opinion he looked very defeated when he was arrested.

oh see, now you have moved the goal post. You said he should have proclaimed his innocence, he did that in that interview with that reporter. I am still unclear what him proclaiming his innocence actually means though. Even if I found an article or an interview or a secretly recorded tape from inside the prison with him screaming his innocence, it wouldn't mean anything, would it?

As with most attorneys I think he's very, very passionate. Lol
I disagree. He is fine ramping it up. DT has done the same. This is serious business, IMO.

Should have said I agree.

It doesn’t exist, the comment you quoted claiming cell phone pings in Hawaii is a misrepresentation of the facts, the funny thing is it’s done in an attempt to support the assertion that the original comment was a misrepresentation.

Lol, I didn't move anything. All I'm saying is if I was accused of murdering 2 toddlers and their parents I would profess my innocence to anyone who would listen.

That's why I don't understand the point LOL Even saying what one would think they would do... no one knows until they are in that situation.

A few years ago, I would have told my kids to always cooperate with the police, especially if you didn't do anything wrong. Nowadays, I tell them to not speak to them without one of us there or now that they are older, not without a lawyer. It's just the way it is now. I'm not saying it because of a lack in trust with LE, I'm saying it because kids (now young adults) are stupid LOL, they don't always understand what is going on and may not understand the impact of their words. And with all the cases I follow, it's just smart advice to keep your mouth shut, guilty or not. IMO That being said... my kids have also been told over the years that I would be the first to call the cops if I thought they needed to be called LOL Fear the Mom!!!!:D:D:D

I sorta get this. Back in the day one of my boys went off the road in a light snow. Went down an embankment, hit a few mail boxes on the way, and took out a fire hydrant . I came to the rescue. As we sat in the car the officer came over and asked him if he had his seat belt on. He said NO. I was dying! But the cop gave him a pass for being honest.
