So is more of his interview to come once court is in session again? TIA

How much did the jury see yesterday?
rsbm

They completed the parts they were permitted to show of his police interview yesterday. All in all about 45 minutes worth of clips.

He started out by saying the 6th must have been the day he went to Susan's and then went to the house. He says (words to the effect that) he opened a bag of food for the dogs and put the water bowl under the dripping faucet so that it would continue to fill.

Compare that to what he told DuGal and Fiske on the 17th, about his second visit -

CM: Um, went and knocked on the door, um went to a couple of the neighbours to see if they had seen him but all the damn neighbours were, none of them were home, um went into the backyard, and that’s when I called Mikey and J…and Jo’s mum and said somebody’s taking care of the dogs, because the water bowl that I filled I put it in the sh, in the shed, was now in the backyard, underneath the faucet, somebody had put it under the faucet, and, and the water dripped in it, sort of like they were taking care of the dogs, so I told, I told um Mikey that and I told his mum that, and his mum said well if he’s having somebody to take care of the dogs and I said well somebody’s taking care of the dogs, I said but I don’t know whether HE’S having somebody take care of the dogs, I said somebody moved the water dish for sure but I said I don’t think Joseph would put these dogs out there, I don’t think he would leave them outside. I think he would have somebody you know, I said I think he would probably put them in a, one of those little dog hotels, you know, that that’s the type Joseph is,

IMO, he had his moments but basically exuded that he was one of them. He is very chatty, almost to a fault. He always seems to hide behind his hat. Wish we had a body language expert here. Difficult to read his face under the brim of his baseball hat .

witnesses are allowed to wear baseball hats there?!

Actually it's Merritt's own words and actions that have morphed him in to a guilty man. The awesome prosecutors are merely doing their jobs in presenting it to the jury.
So true. Even better, IMO, his own attorneys reinforced it yesterday.

That was when Merritt was being questioned by the detectives.

It's typical for a criminal and compulsive liar to not be able to keep their stories straight. Merritt is his own worst enemy.

I don't think the DT playing those videos did them any favors.

I hope they can point out some of his lies during rebuttal.

Not a bit, IMO. Just the opposite for anyone with common sense. He was squirming. I'm think they only did it to focus on the cops interview techniques. That they embellished, etc. All to entrap him. The more he said I don't remember, I don't recall that, I don't have an answer for you, I can't help you........the weaker he sounded to me. He lied. MOO.

I should think they'll cover it during closing arguments. It reinforces Mike's testimony that Merritt told him not to worry about coming out until Saturday because it looked like they'd left someone taking care of the dogs.

IMO, some people might just believe the baseball cap is concealing CMs halo.
I saw blackness. Actually thought he was wearing sun glasses. But he wasn't. It was the absence of light. Eerie nothingness. MOO.

I'm intrigued about the additional CD and accompanying transcript Daugherty entered into evidence in cross-exam of Bachman.

I'm wondering if it's going to be something in the 2014 interview that is played in rebuttal.

Timestamp 1.02.24 in day 53.

CM voluntarily went there to be questioned, having been dropped off by his daughter.
Do you think he called them?

Thanks Tortoise for answering my question. What happen to the DT saying they were going to play 8 hours of the interview?

The transcribed words you have kindly provide is a big WOW!

Omg, CM is such a pathetic pathological liar he can't even keep his own lies straight.

CMs worst enemy is CM.

Imo

How can the crime scene be contaminated and compromised if it isn't yet deemed a crime scene?
Because the PT has the crime date noted 2/4 or 2/5 That is on the record.
