Yes. It would be his sweat that would release his skin cells.

I had no clue he sweated this much even in the winter.

I do know LE looks for sweating when they are interviewing a potential suspect.
Well it was still a month away from winter. But even that time of the year you still have some warm days here. But jeez that is A LOT of sweating lol.

Re: Sweat

CM was arrested in Nov (winter) and had a 6" sweat ring on his T Shirt when he was getting out of the squad car.

For the record, November in Southern California can be pretty hot. ‘Winter’ is not my first thought.

Where was he arrested? I know it was Nov 7th—Nov 7, 2014 had a high of 90 degrees in San Bernardino. (Or Nov 6th—high of 91.)

Back to handshake transfer. sigh... I am going to be careful who I shake hands with from here on out.
I would assume that "handshake transfer" would be an exception, NOT the rule. If we take into consideration how many cases have proven guilt through DNA, I'll stick with the status quo: If CM cannot be excluded from the mix of DNA on the drivers side, my opinion is that he was on the driver's side. Barring a photo of CM shaking hands with JM, I'm not going to believe anything CM states.

BBM. You keep stating this but it's not true. You failed to produce any picture of such. I have every picture ever posted online of this family and there is not a single one of Joseph and Chase together in paintball gear.

That's not to say he didn't go with him. @mrjitty put it so eloquently, I was thinking the same thing all morning reading posts - Chase will be perceived as a liar by this jury and they don't have to take anything he says as truth. As a juror, if you believe the defendant is lying, you can throw out and discard their entire testimony or statements made. His interview is considered his testimony of events.

If this DNA is distributed to places by secondary transfer as you suggest, why isn't it on the first places Joseph would have touched - the outside/inside door handles?

This goes back many threads ago... but what hand do you use to open your driver side door (assuming you are american lol)

Most IMO, use their left hand. (This is actually something I watch for now and notice LOL Even in a parking lot, watching people open their driver's side door)

Bottom line, it shouldn't be on any controls.

I'm listening to the testimony... IMO, I disagree with this statement if they met prior to the last time that Joey would have driven the Trooper.

I'm not, the presence of his DNA on the driver's side would indicate to me CM was there. Occam's Razor. I try to stay out of the weeds and rabbit holes.

Wait!!!

You mean Dan’s DNA wasn’t in the Trooper? What is the Defense going to do now??? Lol

And there was also a contradiction in his interview when he said Joey was too sick to do paintball - I think.

When I listened to that interview again over the weekend, he says something like, it sounds silly but with paintball there is a lot of bending and stuff and his legs would be hurting afterwards.

*I have no idea how physical paintball can be lol Never been. I would think soccer would be more strenuous as well.

Paintball is strenuous, (run and gun) unless you like being shot with paintballs, (lol) and it DOES sting when you get hit. Some wear gear (pads) to help "protect" them.

OK, so Joey touches inside the car and leaves traces of Chase, right on top of the steering wheel, as he drives home from lunch.

So what happens when the last person drives it to the border, which is a long drive? Would that 'touch DNA' still be the 3rd contributor instead of the most recent driver?

Perhaps it means that Chase was the most recent driver?

Possibly that answer is in the testimony... I was listening, but missed a few things. Were you watching? was it asked and answered?

I would like to find the steering wheel study that they referencing lol Sounds like a good source of info about who should leave what where and in what quantities.

This testimony will also not be the end of the DNA in the Trooper, we will see more when the Defense presents their case IMO

Again, I will listen to the testimony again, but even this witness, a State witness, who is a Criminalist, will not say that he drove the Trooper.

I use my right...and I'm right handed. I use my left to use my key FOB if I've locked and alarmed my truck or use the key to unlock the door, but still use my right to open the flip handle.

Wait!!!

You mean Dan’s DNA wasn’t in the Trooper? What is the Defense going to do now??? Lol

There was unidentifed DNA and some too complex to make conclusions according to Jones hahaha :p

I too recall seeing a photo of at least one of them in their paintball gear, wonder if it was in the CNN piece? I know you watched it recently, do you recall seeing it?

Jones' job is to analyze and EXCLUDE likely DNA contributors. He can not claim who was doing what because that's NOT within his job description.

This feed is brutal... lol

It was doing pretty good on my phone, but now that I'm home, it's stopping again :(

I use my right, too, and I’m right-handed. I really don’t think we can draw any conclusions from this, one way or another.

Which sample was that? and who are those numbers contributed to? Sorry, didn't hear that part :)

It was displayed on the screen and the witness explained it. Sorry don't know the time on the video.

I do not, do you have evidence he drove the vehicle?

It can't be proven - I agree.

I already said this before.

According to this witness, it's possible and it's reasonable. You don't have to rely on my opinion or what I post, you can either believe the State witness, or not.

I already agreed with that. Transfer is an exculpatory theory.

I have also said that if they met for lunch that day, I don't think it even had to come from shaking hands.. it could have come from the papers they were touching, a pen... Force Ten pointed out a key in Joey's pocket that may have come from Chase... what else did he have with him in that 1-1/2 hour- 2hour meeting that they both touched?

I am just pointing out your are now speculating extra facts not in evidence to support secondary transfer

Really? I thought it was that he possibly drove it.
