TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. — Have you seen me?
The Trinity County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) is asking locals in the Northstate to keep an eye out for a man from Antelope who went missing last weekend.
According to officials with the TCSO, 56-year-old John Bartholomew left the Salyer area during the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 14, and was headed to Sacramento. However, John never reached his destination.
The TCSO says John was driving a '05 silver Honda Accord—CA License Plate: 5NMH775. They believe John was traveling east on State Route 299 to the Redding area. Traffic cameras captured a vehicle passing through the Weaverville area, east on State Route 299, at around 2:30 a.m. Investigators believe this could be John's vehicle. However, they said confirmation is not possible as the plates were not readable.
Members of the TCSO Search and Rescue searched the 299 corridor but could not locate John or his vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding John's whereabouts are asked to contact the TCSO at (530) 623-8106—reference Case Number: 202300041.
