Authorities were searching in a Yucaipa park Monday, Sept. 11, for a 71-year-old woman who went missing the night before.

Jolene Rooker of Calimesa was last seen at Wildwood Canyon State Park in Yucaipa, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Her car was found very close by at Wildwood Canyon Road and Mesa Grande Drive, said Jodi Miller, spokeswoman for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. A smaller city park is at that intersection.


Rooker is white, 5 feet tall and about 170 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes, authorities said. She was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, a white plaid shirt and blue and black shoes, and was carrying a dark blue backpack.

Anyone with information about her is asked to call either the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 951-922-7100 or the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department at 909-760-3100.
