"Jose Gonzalez was last seen on December 9, 1989 in Montebello, California." Then, on December 7, 1990, an unknown male was "found on Flatbush Avenue approximately 650 feet south of Eastern Parkway" in Brooklyn, New York with "Not recognizable - Traumatic injuries".

While Jose's photo has us looking more up his nose, the nose does appear different, and Jose's eyebrows appear different as well but I suspect shading is a deceptive contributing factor. Jose is also listed as 2 inches taller (but 10 pounds lighter), and 4 years older.

The eyes are similar, the stubble pattern on Jose's face looks like the growth on the unidentified, and finally, Jose may be wearing a "blue hooded winter coat" in his photo which is what the unidentified had on him. I'm not sure if the hooded coat that is in the unidentified's reconstruction is the accurate color.
