Looks like they found her killer, Joseph Naso.

He’s been on death row for a long time. Could be responsible for 26 murders.

oh wow, thank you so much for this! news just broke yesterday, crazy. though i will point out that if i'm reading this correctly, he hasn't been charged with the murder. Charlotte Cook is also still listed on the Daly City cold case page

also... according to that article, investigators think Charlotte is victim #5, "Girl from Miami Near Down...

It includes their solutions to girl #5 - Girl from Miami near down peninsula (Charlotte Cook) and #4 - Girl on Mt. Tam (Gail Marie Dahl, also known as Gail Gardner).

Ugh. I don't know what to say about that. Peacock is a paid streaming service and it should be on there, but I don't know about differences between different countries. The Youtube video is the 'free' alternative for those in the U.S.

Some of it has already been discussed in news articles about the program and the Vanity Fair articles, but it is always nice to see things visually and put together in story form.

One thing in the show that I don't think I saw anywhere else was about using AI to identify the people in some of Naso's photographs. That is how they found that 'Girl on Mt. Tam' was Gail Dahl/Gail Gardner. So the obvious question is whether that AI program could help identify some of the other victims.

The victim on Mt. Tam wasn't Gail, it was actually Pam Lambson. The photo although was very similar to Gail, Gail's family said it was not her. The girl in the photo remains unknown.

There's a 3 part documentary on the victims of Joe Naso and Gail is mentioned at the end of episode 1 and during episode 2. Unfortunately, the clues found tying Joe Naso to Gail were inconclusive but the detective, Ken Mains, said he will still investigate her disappearance.

I was wondering how a perp would even know the names of his victims before-hand. I read that Naso was a photographer. Could he have worked for a photography company that comes into the schools to take the annual school photo of each of the children? They were all Catholic school girls, weren't they? Maybe the same company was used? Just a thought.

I thought the same thing. The killer had to be someone who had connections to a photography studio that was commissioned by the schools to do school photos and it turns out Nasco was a photographer. Mhm…
