I wish there were more details available. How much money did he pick up? What store was he going to and what did he plan on buying? If he had a lot of cash on him, that could have made him a target for robbery. Also there is no mention of him having a vehicle, so if he was going to a store that was outside of his immediate neighborhood, it’s possible he got a ride from someone.
