For the next month, drivers and pedestrians will see a billboard on the corner of Mercury Street and Clairemont Mesa Boulevard in Kearny Mesa with a simple message: If you've seen Julia Jacobson, call the San Diego Police.

Thinking the implication is that if someone who saw her that last day is not concerned about her whereabouts, it could be they know what became of her, jmo.

Yea I get that but it doesnt help us here. I'm frustrated with lack of info from LE that would narrow down where to search.

It doesn't, but it would be odd if he was not trying to find her and possibly point toward his having something to do w it

The reason WS is a great place is because one person asks a question, another person answers it, and sometimes a 3rd person gets an epiphany that might not have occurred without the spark being ignited. When LE saunters in, they get their own sparks. We here rarely see how our theories and ideas help find people, but I know we do.

LE typically doesn't share their hand with the public. We provide them clues, they don't provide them to us.

When and where did she meet up with the ex?

Who was she going to Big Bear with?

Were there any sightings of her in Palm Springs?

What is the last time LE can account for her on the road trip?

Did she have any reservations any place with plans to spend the night?

Did she have a bag or change of clothing left in the car or found elsewhere if she was planning an overnight trip?

Did she leave San Diego with someone or did she meet someone along the way?

Where would she be that she would need to board Boogie for the day?

What the frick was in Ontario for her?

Inquiring minds want to know........

I can't help but wonder if maybe LE knows who is responsible for this but doesn't have enough evidence to charge
them at the moment. That's the only reason I could see for this radio silence from LE.

Sorry if that sounds negative but I do NOT believe she is missing voluntarily. MOO

I'm just hoping this silence means that LE is working diligently to find the truth of what happened to Julia. Praying for a miracle at this point. Julia needs to come home and be accounted for, for her family's sake.

This one reminds me too much of Shadow McClaine (RIP). I really really hope I’m wrong but I think LE knows what happened and is collecting the evidence it needs to make an arrest.

There are two scenarios of what happed to Julia:

1. She is a victim of foul play by someone she knows perhaps disgruntled ex-boyfriend, co-worker, former Army friend.

2. She staged her own disappearance because of threat on her life real or imagined. She might have had an accomplice who is keeping this a secret.

IMO friends and co-workers of Julia have not disclosed all they know about this case. Maybe they have made statements to LE but no much publicly. Most of the information is coming from Julia's family.

Care to elaborate here? I'm interested to hear. My opinion is those possibilities are the two *most likely* scenarios(because of the car being left so close to her home mainly) but maybe I'm missing something.

she could have been a victim of foul play by someone unknown to her.

She could have committed suicide.

She could have staged her own disappearance because she was tired of living the life she was living.

She could have been in an accident of some sort. (not a car accident, but ANY kind of accident. She may have gotten her foot stuck in a ditch while hiking and was unable to get out and died there.)


My point was simply that there are more than 2 possibilities. Have a theory and trying to make the facts fit is not how it works.

We are all here for the same purpose - to help and/or offer comfort.

agreed but I was trying to make a point that the theories were so specific they didn't even cover the obvious. I need to try harder next time lol
