He sounds like a total scammer and con man. Julie probably finally confronted him her name was on a couple of those "businesses" as well.

I wonder what type of 'hold' he still had over Julia? She divorced him, yet gave him $100K just this year. It's my understanding that they didn't have children together. He did look after the dog while she was in another state taking care of her Mom. So for some reason, she still felt comfortable being around him, and asking him to help with the dog at the least. With her having a boyfriend, and apparently moving on in a sense, because they did divorce, it appears they couldn't make a clear cut from each other.

I wonder the same thing. I do know abusers often have a 'hold' on their victims, but that power is usually strongest when victims are still in the abusive situation. Here is sounds like Julia removed herself from that, but then continued to want to help the man/be his friend. Maybe she was just a kind person and felt like she needed to be there for her troubled ex...idk. But her recently giving him $$ for a business definitely adds a twist to the standard abuser/victim situation. I wonder if she knew about his background and criminal history. If so, would she give a man previously accused of fraud such a significant amount of money? That seems strange to me. Also, it seems strange that she has a boyfriend, yet is still talking/meeting up w the ex. I wonder how new/serious this boyfriend was, and if he was aware she was still in contact/meeting up with her ex.

Was there a reason Julia's family never met her ex husband? Did he prevent that from happening...or her? Or was it just the distance preventing the meeting? I believe a family member said earlier that she and Dalen were married for four years. Why did none of her family meet this man in four years of marriage. ..

If you read through you will find that both Dalen (petitioner) and mother (respondent) filed Sole Custody Plans. By all appearances the mother ended up with custody. In April of 2014 you see that the mother (respondent) filed for an Expedited Request to Enforce Support.

It really does not surprise me. Julia was by all accounts a very kind generous person. Maybe she felt sympathy for him because her life was coming together and his was not. Maybe she hoped if she helped him he would “ get better” or move on fully. Once you love someone it is just so hard to let go. Good people like her need to know people are okay. Just so GD sad.

According to public records, their house was sold in March of this year the money could have simply been related to that.

It seems that police are still asking for help in finding her, can someone help me understand what the normal process is? Will they release information that helps narrow down an area?

IMO, LE will probably offer a deal for giving up where she is. They do that rather often. Like life in prison instead of the death penalty. It would be a blessing. RIP

Knowing what we know about Julia, I would guess he preyed upon her sympathy somehow.

I found this awhile back when doing research on Dalen Ware, before we could post anything about him on here. I have a few other things as well, but this I found most interesting.

Maybe at that point she just said screw it. Then with distance fell back into old ways.

It appears as though Julia basically gave the home to Dalen. Maybe part of their divorce agreement? Or out of the kindness of her heart?

Those dates indicate during the marriage rather than the divorce. Without seeing the actual documents from the recorder's office I can't tell what happened there. It could be that his name was not part of the initial deed/titling of the property and a change was made later to add him.

LE never confirmed her exact location in Ontario or if she was even in her own car. They said 8pm on Sept. 2 in Ontario. Her car was a white chevy equinox. No one ever confirmed Petsmart.

From Ontario to San Diego I take the 15 South. On the 15S there are so many open field lands. It’s very sad her body can be anywhere. Also on the 10 E to Pam spring it’s all open land anybody can simply dispose of a body at night. So sad hope she’s found soon
