Gosh I am so lost for words. I am soooooooooo sad right now. RIP Juliani. I hate the images that appear in my head, him all alone out there and being found. My heart has broken into a million pieces.

At least now this sweet little boy can have a proper burial.

Tabitha is in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. I can't imagine the pain she is in and at the same time, carrying the offender's child.

The farmer is probably second-guessing the choices he made...wondering if he could have saved Juliani. I agree with those people who said we would be looking for 3 bodies instead of 2. The farmer made the best choice he could have in a horrible situation. Juliani can be laid to rest because of this farmer and instead of criticizing him, we should be praying for him and thanking him for helping LE bring Juliani home.

RIP, sweet baby boy.

In agreement. If that farm worker had jumped into the canal, they probably would only have been looking for him, because his vehicle would have been the only one on the roadside, not realizing Juliani and probably his kidnapper were in the canal, too.

The farm worker only erred in delaying his call to 911. Even then, it was too late to save Juliani. Fortunately, the farm worker DID come forward and Juliani can now be laid to rest properly.

It's all too sad.

I heard about the positive identification yesterday. So heartbreaking but not unexpected since the sheriff said he was sure it was Juliani they found early in the week.

The baby probably drowned almost instantly when hitting the water, long before he was whisked from the car and floating down the canal. At least that is some comfort in this horrendous situation.

His mom, grandmother, and little sister will need lots of love and understanding to get them through the years. What a terrible burden for them. The one blessing in all this for them is they don't have to keep searching for little Juliani, if that's any consolation. The burden for the little girl will be knowing it was her father who did this terrible thing. It's all so unfair.

Body Found in Canal Could Be Accused Kidnapper...

Thank GOD now this family will have some peace.

I came to post that --- I really hope it's him. And I know Juliani's mother would like to know that he's not out there on the run, living it up, never to be found, kwim?

(BTW, how is she doing? I haven't heard much... but I haven't been following since they found Juliani either).

So glad that he's been found (assuming it is him). The timeline was getting close and I was worried he wouldn't show up in the canal.

She spoke at Juliana's memorial last night - telling stories of her precious boy.

She read a 10 minute eulogy for her baby boy. (Get the kleenex)

A post on FB says she confirmed the finding, it appears to be Jose - She is very happy and undoubtedly relieved.

One by one, hundreds streamed in to remember Juliani's joyful young life, the way Tabitha wanted them to know her son - through those funny little moments that define a little personality.

"His first halloween i dressed him up as a ladybug and took him trick or treating," said Tabitha Cardenas, "He took off buck naked running down the street after the snowcones."

Tabitha also told those gathered about the plans she was making for the adult life her little boy never got to have.

"I remember he used to get my stethoscope out and listen to my heartbeat because I showed him where it was and that you could hear it through the stethoscope. I asked him if he was going to be a doctor and he said, 'yeah'," Cardenas told the crowd.

For Juliani's grandmother, Amparo, the memorial was not only a chance to say goodbye, but also to show her gratitude.

"This is my way and my daughter and my grandson's to thank you all -- because my grandson, believe me he is thanking all of you from above," said Amparo Cardenas.

I just remembered that she is pregnant with Jose's baby. May God bless both of them on their journey ahead - I hope it's a peaceful one...

I am kind of glad he at least went into the canal with
Juliani...we see so many adult who "intend" to kill themselves but
somehow don't make it past killing the kids...
Plus J's mom can have a little peace, knowing he is gone and that no one can ever try to mess with custody of her new baby, etc...just to give her more problems, they would surely not get it, I hope.

Body found in canal where kidnapped boy discovered

A man's body matching the description of the suspect in the kidnapping of a 4-year-old boy was found Saturday morning in a Central California canal.

An autopsy scheduled for Tuesday will reveal the final results, but Stanislaus County Sheriff's detectives said that a water district employee found a body floating in the Delta-Mendota Canal south of Patterson at 8:30 a.m.
