#OCSDPIO CRITICAL MISSING CHILD UPDATE- We are sharing additional information in the search for missing child Kaia Fina. Eleven year old Kaia was last seen at her foster home in San Clemente on Thurs. Sept. 6, 2018, at 10:30 pm. PLEASE SHARE. Kaia was reported missing the morning of Sept. 7 by her foster mother. Kaia had spoken with her biological mother, Sera Fina, the evening before she went missing. It’s possible they may be traveling in a black 2007 BMW X3 with a CA license plate 7RRY771. It’s also possible that Kaia is not with Sera. OCSD Investigators are actively searching for Kaia and consider her a critical missing child. 11-Year-Old Girl Goes Missing From San Clemente Foster Home

Orange County Sheriff's Department was searching for her in the hills behind her residence today. They are asking any residents that have cameras on their homes in the area that she went missing to contact Lt. Peters of the OCSD.

Missing and endangered California girl may be in Denver metro area

Kaia's father, Philip Gregory, told Denver7 the family is convinced that Kaia and Sera are in the state.

"The whole family believes that she’s with the mom. They’re in Colorado. An 11-year-old girl didn’t magically go there by herself from San Clemente, California. So just to be vigilant, and I know that she’ll be seen and/or make a mistake," Gregory said.

An Amber Alert has yet to be issued for the missing girl.

Authorities continue search for missing OC girl

The missing girl's father, Philip Gregory, said her mother has an unstable lifestyle. Gregory said Fina lost custody of their daughter after being arrested in early August, and did not show up for a court hearing that he attended Thursday.

Breaking: 11-Year-Old Found Safe after Missing from San Clemente, Mother is in Custody

Orange County Sheriff’s Department (OCSD) announced on Tuesday, Sept. 18, that Kaia Fina, 11, who had been missing from her foster home in San Clemente since Sept. 6, was found safe in Beverly Beach, Oregon. She was with her biological mother, Sera Fina, 42, who has been taken into custody for child abduction as she did not have custody rights at the time.

Sera lost custody rights after being arrested and jailed for three days for an outstanding warrant in 2002, which was for driving a child improperly situated in a car seat.

What the hell? So she lost custody because of a minor traffic infraction that happened six years before the girl was even born?
