The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a young woman missing from a small town near Yreka, Calif.

Katrina Leigh Eblen, 24, was last seen around 11 p.m. Oct. 2 near Montague, Calif., east of Yreka. Investigators later learned she may have also been seen Wednesday morning in the same area.

The sheriff’s office has turned to state and federal agencies for help, but efforts so far to locate Eblen have been unsuccessful. She is described as a 5-foot, 100-pound white female with blonde hair and green eyes.

“We are very concerned about Katrina’s welfare and are working diligently to locate her,” said Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey in a news release Monday.

Posted on her Facebook the night of the third. Looks like she has kids

This link isn't working for me... I wonder what she was doing and who she was with, the last time she was seen.

Oops. Not sure why. Not working for me either. I was hoping it meant she had been located.

Second person reported missing from Siskiyou County in a week

Sheriff Jon Lopey said Katrina Leigh Eblen, 24, was reported missing on Thursday night. She may have been seen early Wednesday morning in Montague, but Lopey said the last official sighting of Eblen was Tuesday at 11 p.m. in Montague.

We are very concerned about Katrina's welfare and are working diligently to locate her," Lopey said in a statement.

She apparently has four children. The sheriff in the video says she left her car, ID and keys at home and they are very concerned about her. This doesn’t look good.

Does she have a man in her life? FB says she’s divorced.

Poster I found on FB. Her hair is dyed red, not blonde.

I'm interested in knowing the mindset of a person who has addiction issues, and knows they will be entering rehab in a week or so. Would that person choose to go binge for the week as a last hurrah?

I'm also wondering what it could mean if a person left their kids with a grandma as if they were going away, then disappeared a week earlier than the planned time away?

Lastly, when a person goes missing and all that seems missing from the home is a bed cover, what does that say about the situation?

The bed cover is what stands out most to me!

Having a brother who’s battled addiction more than half his life, I’ve witnessed behavior I never could’ve imagined he was capable of, as well as behavior that lacked any logic whatsoever.
For example: he had been caught breaking into & stealing a significant amount of stuff from a previous employer with the intention of selling it all for money to supply his habit. Not wanting to have severe criminal consequences, he immediately checked into rehab (while still on his high) & was remorsefully seeking the help he ‘thought’ he needed. Needless to say, once he came down from his high, he was angry & withdrawing. Despite pouring his heart out to all involved & affected, as well as the show he put on in court, he left rehab a mere day later. Desperately seeking more drugs & obtaining them any way he could. He ended up in SE Washington DC in a back alley left to die after being brutally attacked & sexually assaulted by a large group of people. It was only because someone’s dog got loose & ran down the alley that he was found & able to be saved in time.
I say all of this only because behavior of addicts is 100% unpredictable. So many variables play a part of the decisions they make right now VS tomorrow, as well as what they say they WANT to do & what really happens.

The missing bed cover is what has me most worried. MOO.
Hoping for a positive outcome as this has to be terrifying for her family & especially her kids.

Thank you for that insight, Capebluff. I hope your brother has finally slayed this dragon.

As awful as it would be, being out on a binge seems like a positive outcome compared to the other possibilities of why she went missing in the middle of the night.

In a case where only a blanket is missing, I start concerning that the missing blanket was used to carry someone away. :(

I agree with both of you. I’m treading lightly because the info being discussed was not revealed in MSM, but just the Mom’s comment I pointed to after an MSM article. The Mom is very open, but WS is strict on this...not that we haven’t willingly crossed that line on other threads. ;) I just think her comment indicates foul play and not a voluntary disappearance for the reason you mention GigTu. I spent the last thirty minutes reading everything on her Facebook. What a lovely sweet girl [emoji26]

Omg... how sad. I was reading her fb page and they were refering to her in the past tense. I was hoping it wasnt true. But, I see now that it is. RIP Katrina beautiful girl!

Wow. How sad. RIP Katrina.

So I wonder if this guy broke into her home and took her? The missing comforter.....

It sounded like she had a life to live, a lot of plans, things to look forward to once she got clean and sober. It's a shame she won't get to be mom to her two sets of twins. 4 little ones are without their mother. :candle:
