So awful and tragic. I am so so sorry for the family. I wondered if she might have tried to oversteer on a kink in that track between the party and the boat ramp and rolled down sideways into the water.

MISSING CA TEEN YouTube Dive Team ...SAYS THEY'VE FOUND KIELY RODNI. A famous search and rescue dive team that inserted itself into the hunt for missing teenager, Kiely Rodni, claims they've found her ... but it doesn't sound like she's alive. The YouTubers known as Adventures with Purpose -- which has millions of subscribers and followers across their social media channels -- made the claim Sunday, writing on their official Facebook page ... "WE JUST FOUND KIELY RODNI."

They go on to say that she is confirmed to be inside a vehicle that is upside down in about 14 feet of water, adding that the family has been notified and that law enforcement is on their way. As for where exactly they discovered her ... reports suggest it might be in Prosser Lake.

This is where Kiely first went missing weeks ago at the beginning of the month, and the search efforts thus far have been focused on this area. AWP literally just volunteered their service a day or two ago ... vowing to help locate her, and it appears they did just that. No other details have come to light yet as to how Kiely may have ended up in a car and submerged in the lake -- and if foul play is suspected.
AWP didn’t insert themselves. They were asked to assist, and without them, Kiely may never have been found.

If you’ve watched AWP videos then you will know that they look for certain things. License plate number. Whether details given match…missing hubcap, stickers, etc. They wouldn’t notify the family if they weren’t sure. They do this all the time. They aren’t new to this. Obviously, LE can’t just throw confirmations out Willy nilly. There are protocols they have to follow. AWP is not restricted by those same things.

In this map, the brown lines are topography elevations. There's a steep drop of 10 feet near the location where her car was found.

I'm curious where people parked at the party - which road?

After watching their videos, I had a feeling they would find her in her car, if it was there. They understand how to assess a possible accident site, type of car, etc. The speed of the car, how long it floated, drift or currents, etc. They and their equipment do the rest.

They're experts at what they do. I think a lot of folks assume when a car goes into water that it sinks right there. They actually can take a while to sink, and when they do, they've usually drifted away from the shore.

RIP young woman and condolences to her family and friends.
I had my doubts, but I'm grateful they came and provided closure for her family.

I think given the state of decomposition, while it's most likely her in the car, LE cannot legally state it is her without doing forensics so AWP sort of jumped the gun by announcing it's her (maybe based on hair color and clothing). We've seen this sort of thing here before when it's obvious, but they won't officially state it til tests are run.
If the water is deep, it's colder. Colder water means slower decomposition. She was in the water from Aug 8 to Aug 21, 2 weeks. There wouldn't be forensic evidence on her body, but I'm guessing it's still possible to do toxicology tests. Unless there are man eating fish in Prosser Creek Reservoir, her body should be fairly intact - I think.

Oh I'm just so hurt and pi$$ed right now. Sounds like she was alone. Crumbs! Alone! That just hurts...
If she hadn't been alone maybe the outcome would have been different...

It looks like this was also where the drone footage had previously picked up an object that looked like a car and tyre marks that swerved off track but stopped abruptly but didn't go into the lake. (links are further up in our thread, sorry I don't have to hand.

While expected (Occam’s Razor and all that), it’s like being kicked in the gut to actually hear this tragic news. My heart goes out to Kiely’s Mom, her entire family and all who loved her. I’m so impressed by AWP and grateful for their work to bring lost ones home to their families. How heartbreaking for them too. I can’t imagine being the one to find the car and ID Kiely. Hugs for one and all, including all of us here who feel these sad events so deeply. :(

Yes, my husband said the same thing. The tox report is something I am very interested in.

Especially if the window's were all tightly closed, which they probably were. IMO

Isn't this EXACTLY the location where many of the posters here on this forum said she had likely taken a wrong turn, that that led directly into the water?

I'm glad she's been found, as sad as it is, it seemed extremely unlikely she was alive. Prayers for her grieving family.

And now, I wonder if AWP will get the reward money, and can continue their good works to help others in time of crisis?

Thank you!

2 is roughly where the party was, 4 is where the car was found. Was this a suicide at 12:33 AM, or did she get her directions turned around and was the water like a mirage where she drove in without realizing it?

Where is the info that the car was located at point 4? Thanks.

This says Donner lake….but many other news agencies are saying it was Prosser
I don't know that I'd worry too much....they aren't at all local. That's why you can't take any media as 100% gospel.

Me too.
I wish she hadn't been alone.
:0(
My heart is broken.

Maybe we should be very glad she was alone. No reason why two families should be suffering this loss.

She and her car have apparently been located in the lake.

Young women of her victimology aren't abducted and trafficked, despite viral social media posts. That was never on the table for me.
Elizabeth Smart was from a very wealthy family. She was 14 when she was abducted and kept for 9 months. Granted she wasn’t trafficked but anyone can be taken now a days. They don’t all fit a certain pattern. Elizabeth Smart | Biography

Like this one? I posted this Fri and it was removed. Steve Fisher was the investigator who provided the drone footage. Folks on SM were focused on water ripples to the right but many there also saw this rectangular object and tire tracks to the left leading to the water. Start watching at 1:00 and it moves toward you in the lower middle as he passes over it. I don't know if this was her car, but the area seems to be similarly located based on what I've seen of comparisons of trees to the left in this footage and today's footage.

This probably doesn’t have anything new. I’m amazed by finding her ‘after a few minutes of diving,’ but I’d guess that their sonar showed them exactly where to dive.

Amazing people, and I love their name!
