Not only is Kiera Foley missing but so is her beloved little dog. This photo of both was taken less than a year ago. [Photos provided by family]

“I last saw her two months ago in Redway walking,” Andrea Miller explained in a tired voice over the phone this morning. She’s been searching for her missing sister, Kiera Foley.

“She’s known to the streets of Eureka and she hasn’t been on the right path for a long time, but we still love her and want to know she is safe,” she said, roughly quoting from a social media post that she had put up earlier as if she were too tired to create sentences on her own anymore. “She may not be on the right path but her family loves her very much.”

Kiera’s family says she normally is found either in Eureka or Redway. Kiera is a white female adult, approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and naturally long brown hair that may have been dyed a golden brown and cut short–possibly even partially shaved.

Kiera has eye catching tattoos. She has NorCal stars on her chest and on the back of one hand. She also has a large tattoo on her neck.

Could be speculation, but there have been a few comments on news articles about two people who have been bragging about killing a woman and her dog recently. I feel like there is definitely a number of people who for whatever reason take credit for crimes they didnt commit out there, but bragging about something like that is worth investigating. Curious to see if they are even interviewed.

This probably goes without saying, but this is the location of Murder Mountain.

Was she known to be working or associated with people in the cannabis industry?

So I think by "transient" they mean she's homeless. But would a homeless person have a dog that required care and resources?

If she is homeless, then what is the indicator that she is missing? Missing would be mean that she was expected to be in a certain place where she didn't turn up. But that idea seems to be at odds with homelessness. IMO

Yes, many homeless people have dogs for companions. Homelessness does not mean a person doesn't have a routine of sorts, or a regular place or places that they frequent or stay.

I hope she is found, as she is obviously loved and thought about. <3
