The #KristinSmart murder trial will now be held in Monterey County instead of San Luis Obispo County. Judge announced the new venue today after attorneys for Paul and Ruben Flores filed a motion to change location. This move is similar to the one in the 2001 Rex Krebs trial.

Well - I just checked the court calendar & they both have disappeared from the hearing on Monday, 4/25.
Anyone "hear" any different court date hearings? I'm not getting any recent articles saying it was cancelled.

No hearing today!

From Chloe Jones a reporter for the SLO Tribune via private message to me
Called the court media person and she said the order for today's hearing was vacated bc all future matters will be via Monterey courts. Monterey court media said no hearing today, hasn’t responded to my questions about zoom/remote access or when the next hearing is. They still don’t have the case in their online look-up, so there’s no way to know when the next hearing is.

For those wondering: the hearing regarding times for the Flores case is not happening today. Waiting to hear from Monterey Superior Court on when the next hearing will be.

For now, the date remains May 31 for the trial start date. Waiting for clarification from Monterey Superior Court on hearing dates, access to the calendar, docket, documents and hearings. Will update when I know more
