The podcast's Twitter has been being updated all evening. The prosecution finished their closing arguments and the defense started theirs.

If I were on that jury, I would be tempted to convict just because the defense is insulting my intelligence.

Also having been on a couple of juries myself, my opinion is the defense is deliberately bumbling to create sympathy for their client. As if to say, this is the best attorneys he could afford.

I don't know why they think that will work but I saw it firsthand when I served on the first jury. Maybe they think it will make the jurors feel sorry for him.
