I'm a little unclear on why he was traveling with the baby at midnight. This may have been a completely routine thing, and he was expected to make the hour and a half trip as usual, or is this a new custody arrangement?

Bring them HOME facebook page indicates that a little while ago, LE informed the family that they definitely made it safely across the Antioch bridge.

I really hope it isn't him or the baby. Hopefully it's too far away from where he was thought to be. I don't know that part of Sacramento county at all. Does anybody that knows the area well have any thoughts on this?

ETA: It's off 160 but he was going from Antioch to Sacramento, right? The only way he could have made a wrong turn would have been going from Sacramento to Antioch, not vice versa. He'd have had to make a random uturn on from the 160 to get to this road that runs along side of it.

How incredibly awful. Any word on the baby? I would think she'd still be in her carseat but if she was wouldn't they have mentioned that as well?

When I saw on the map how close the location the body was found was to the 160, my heart sank. Thanks for the updates... I am so sad to learn that they indeed ended up in the water.

True, but I was thinking if they found the car it wouldn't have killed them to send a diver down there to check. I'm sure they'd have equipment to break a window and get in, but apparently not since they haven't done it. I am looking forward to finding out their reasoning.

Well, it might have killed someone, you just don't know what conditions might be like. I suspect they have a good idea if she's in there, but won't confirm it publically.

They probably want the car out of the water exactly as is, too, so they can try to work out what happened. It's horrible for a lot of us to even think about, but you can't risk the living for the dead.
