Are there any R/O on Namus?

Not yet, as she was just added to NamUs 3 days ago. Anyone have any suggestions for possible matches?

Looking through NamUs, there is 7 missing Asian females who vanished from California since 1990.

Michelle Ngan Ho Chan – The Charley Project
Michelle Chan disappeared on October 9, 1999 from Fremont, CA, that's literally just a day after this Jane Doe was found. However, her husband reported her missing so he could be mistaken

Sung Cha Pak – The Charley Project
Sung Cha Pak disappeared from Torrance, California on May 1, 1999. Torrence is literally a straight one hour drive from Lamont. I think she is a good possibility.

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Janice Chai Hsi Lo, missing from San Gabriel, California, Nov 12, 1996. Again, an hours drive from Lamont. However, considering that this Jane Does remains are listed as being in the condition of ''Decomposing/putrefaction'' I doubt the victim was exposed to the elements for that long. However, she was there long enough to be covered in grape vines. Anyone know how long that would take?

No ruleouts in Namus for this UID. Sung Cha Pak's Namus is no longer visible and I can't find her in Charley anymore, though her DoeNetwork file is still up. Michelle Chan suggested above, seems to have been a bit young and was also pregnant (no reports this UID was carrying or had recently given birth).

I'll have a look through the older Asian female UIDs I've previously canvassed but the list is thinly populated.

Grape vines are heavily frequented throughout Harvest time which spans from late June to late October/early Nov. The months prior the grape vines workers are pruning and training. And in the winter pruning is done again except there is very little leaf left on the vine. Regardless, bodies will always be found. As a local you would know that. Usually they get passed by a few times before they let the last of the grapes rot. Being she was found early Oct. she must not have been there for more than month/6w. September is still a hot month so it could have cause decomp. faster. As far as there being vines over her they had to purposely covered her body because vines do not fall on their own only the leaves do. The area to walk through the vines are typically cleared with just dirt, weeds, or grapes. There is an exception which would be if maintenance was done prior to her body being dumped and wind blew them over her.

A theory from the missing person that was reported 10/9/1996 a day after the body was found -if the husband reported her missing could be that it is not accurate or saw the news somehow and only then reported her missing . More info needed.

(I will provide clips of what it typically looks like in a grape vineyard late August(last clip), late October(first), and early November (2&3 clip). 3rd clip is pruning so almost all the vine gets cut down only leaving the stump .
