I went back and checked and you are right, but I still don't know what planet those dissenting jurors came from.Wasn't he tried for Second Degree murder?

--------------What a FRICKIN' travesty is all I can say.
Vigilantes!Professional jurors!
Buzz, have you ever read the juror profiles at CTV? This really wasn't a surprise considering the friends/family members in (or have been in) prison, deaths by accidental gunshot, suicides, drug use, gangs, etc.I'm wanting to hear from the two jurors who were stuck on NG, and the other three who were against First Degree. There must be something in the water in Southern California. They should require IQ tests before they qualify people for jury duty.
And how he got on the jury is beyond me. He'd even said that he'd run into Spector at a local store. Plus he had a friend commit suicide & two friends die of accidental gunshot wounds (hunting). Where was the jury consultant for the State? :banghead:Oh, I know exactly where one of them is from. The foreman (#10) is Phil Spector's neighbour. I kid you not.
pamthera, no I haven't read the jurors profiles; I haven't been following this case. I felt confident that the jurors could add 2 + 2 and come up with 4. I should have known that there would be a couple of idiots in the bunch who only believe something if it is taped live. However, I have to admit, that if it came down to a choice between going to bed with with Phil Spector, or committing suicide; the odds are good that she committed suicide. Please excuse my attempt at levity, and may God rest her soul. They should have put Phil away for awhile a long time ago, when he first started the behavior with a gun. I'll bet there are even more women out there, who experienced this same thing from PS, but haven't come forward.Buzz, have you ever read the juror profiles at CTV? You know, I thought the same thing too about the jury since juries have convicted defendants on less evidence than what was in this trial. But this jury does seem on a par with the one who acquitted Blake ~ as if someone came up and shot Bonny in the car while he was retrieving his gun from the restaurant. It makes just about as much sense, since Spector was alone in the house with Lana ~ who had never been to his house before or knew he had a loaded gun.pamthera, no I haven't read the jurors profiles; I haven't been following this case. I completely agree! I think Jackson did a superb job presenting the State's evidence, but I've always wondered about jurors with personal experiences that could affect the outcome of the trial. I did believe that juror #5 would be the problem with her remarks about "the justice system worked" in the OJ trial and a husband in prison, but #10 not only living near Spector, seen him shopping at a local store, and family & friends involved in fatal gunshot accidents and a suicide ~ he should never have been on the jury.Quote from juror #10 (foreman holdout):
Of the Jackson, Blake and Simpson trials, the juror wrote, "The impression these cases left is that everyone has problems and that fame and fortune don't shield anyone."
He clearly saw the defendants in those cases as victims, not the system being victimized by fame and wealth. Moreover, he had a friend commit suicide that was open to question whether it was...
The other holdout has numerous criminals in the family.
As much as I admire DA Jackson (not to mention major drooling), I think he lost it at jury selection.
