Platforms used by the suspect included Twitter, recently rebranded as X; as well as Gab, a platform popular among far-right extremists.

Authorities were aware of an X account belonging to the suspect that contained a burning Pride flag as its pinned post, Dicus said Monday.

An X account appearing to belong to Ikeguchi contained numerous anti-LGBTQ posts, according to a review by CNN.

Another post was critical of abortion and same-sex marriage, describing both as a “war” against family values.

In a post critical of law enforcement, the user accused officers of using “sociopathic schemes.”

Suspect named in fatal shooting of California store owner over a Pride flag

Travis Ikeguchi, 27, was named in connection with the slaying Friday of clothing store owner Laura Ann Carleton, a mother of nine, in Lake Arrowhead.

In response to a request for comment about Monday's news conference, Carleton's daughter, Ari Carleton, said her "family doesn’t care" about Ikeguchi.

"We will continue to steer the narrative away from him and towards my mother and honoring her. He is irrelevant," she said in a direct message on Instagram. "The media must stop glorifying these individuals by giving them this platform."

Ikeguchi being named as the murder suspect led to the discovery of his social media accounts, which featured a concerning amount of anti-LGBTQ posts.

In one post, the 27-year-old called members of the LGBTQ community "mentally disordered" and claimed the community was an "abomination" that was being forced on Americans by the government.
