If it's true, I'm wondering if her husband knew about the affair. I kind of got a combo fed-up/freaked out combo from his interviews before she was found.

Ya I agree with this as well. He seemed less concerned with the fact she never came home than he should have, I think he knew or suspected.

There are a lot of unanswered questions here. I'm sure the police probably have a lot of the answers but we may not get them for some time. Lets assume she was indeed having an affair (As much as I hate it, I think this is likely due to the "gay" comment), if she was going to break up and end the affair, why did she go with him to this party? Was the decision to end it a sudden spur of the moment decision? Was this supposed to be one last fling before ending it? Why was she nude when found? Had they had sex? Did he rape her? Now, please understand these questions are irrelevant probably in the legal sense. But are just questions that my own curiosity came up with. I am also curious as to what exactly her friends knew. She was at this party with this guy and not her husband. My guess, and its only a guess, is that some of her friends knew she was having a fling with this guy. It is possible of course that there was not an affair and he just tried something out of the blue. But due to the viciousness of the attack, that to me seems like there was passion involved.

One of the articles said there was murder evidence in his truck, plus he lived at home with his family, so I think it happened in the truck.

How does he get a dead body out of his truck, naked and dig in his family's yard without anyone knowing? I didn't realize he didn't live alone. I figured she went back to his place for a last fling and afterwards she told him she couldn't do it anymore and he killed her...it never dawned on me he had the hammer in his truck (odd, no?) and then he brought her to his family home to dispose of her...how in the world? The logistics are mind numbing.

Plus the sister thought this guy was gay. So she and others in the circle may have seen him as harmless as well.

Even if they knew that they were dating.

Now they only gave him up because they knew that she was there with him and left with him.

But they never said that she left with some scary looking dude. Jmo

He's not my type and I DO think he looks scary/mean, devilish with those eyebrows, vicious no smile or anything whether I knew what he did or not!!

It very well could have been planned knowing the breakup was coming and know one would have her if he couldn't. Who knows there could be others out there he's killed. Someone posted there was no social media trail of any kind with this guy could have been one of those loner types with deep seated anger issues. He over killed her IMO

Something is odd about him killing her in his truck if they were supposed to be lovers. If he was so upset and really cared about her supposedly leaving him why would he discard her naked body in such a demeaning way for LE to see when they found Lisa? Even positioning her facedown in the shallow grave shows anger, rejection, and resentment to me. He could easily be covering up in case they find his semen.... with him pretending he didn't forcefully rape her. If she really was going to break it off with him I highly doubt she was in the mood for sex when telling him so. With her body being found naked I do believe he sexually assaulted her for there is no other logical reason to discard the body naked.

Like I said earlier, I really hate it when disparaging things are said by ANY suspects against their silenced victims when they have more motives to lie than anyone. He could be trying to set this up as a crime of passion case by interjecting the 'affair' into it.

If she really was under the impression he was gay then she would trust him to not make a hit on her when they went out together. It will be interesting what his friends have to say about him and if he ever mentioned having an affair with Lisa.

It will be so tragic beyond what it already is if Lisa did really trust him and felt she was safe around him.

The police will want irrefutable evidence this affair actually existed rather being in his perverted mind instead.

Yes, the toxicology report will be most interesting to see if she had any type of date rape drug in her system at the time. Her husband seemed a little taken aback that Lisa sounded so intoxicated so I don't think that is normal for her. JMO. It seems to me if they really were having an affair they would have left the restaurant/bar and gone to a motel or hotel and if it was a crime of passion it would have happened there and not in his truck. IMO

She may have sounded extremely intoxicated because the date rape drug was kicking in as well. He hustled her out of there because it was probably very obvious that she was getting incapacitated and everything was working out just as he had planned. I imagine Natalie Holloway sounded just like that the night Joran offered her a ride.

And yeah, now that he has been arrested for this, half the women that know him will come forward with stories about how he made them uncomfortable, how he flirted with them, how he made insensitive remarks and was always blurting out sexual innuendos, and how his eyes creeped them out. That's always the case after one of these types is arrested. Prior to his arrest, nobody said a bad word about him.

I can only wish that all of the missing persons cases listed here on Websleuths were solved as quickly as this one was. I notice it was her family taking the bull by the horns and literally providing the cops with all the required evidence before an arrest was made. I suspect about 1/3 to 1/2 of the missing persons cases we dig into here probably had a scenario similar to this one, and that's why the victims aren't being found.

They were there as a "couple." If I were her husband, I would be very upset with her friends. They had to have known this affair was going on.

This guys house was a dump and in a bad, infested gang area. It's hard to imagine Lisa having sex there at his house when she stayed in a mansion for the reality show. She had a great job and came across to me as having higher standards. Her husband seemed like a really nice guy. Hard to imagine her having an affair with that creepy guy. Maybe she never did? and just hung out with him as friends because he was young and fun. Possibly told her husband he was gay in order to do things as friends with this guy because he husband was the jealous type. I don't know some women have low self esteem and choose the wrong abusive people. She was on that stupid reality show to have plastic surgery so maybe she didn't value herself as she should have. RIP Lisa Marie.

BTW---She was found naked in a shallow grave. Doesn't sound like a drunken lovers spat to me, sounds more like a pervert that couldn't control himself around a drunk woman he had a thing for.

If they find a date rape drug in her system, don't be surprised.

Just thought I would jump in here as an RN. Obviously, this guy didn't have what it takes to be a nurse. That goes without saying. However, please be careful about judging a nurse by appearances. Nurses come in all shapes, sizes, colors, religions, genders and orientations. There are nurses with tattoo's, piercings, purple streaks in their hair. It doesn't take a certain "look" to be an awesome nurse. It takes compassion, dedication, knowledge, critical thinking, patience and most of all, a calling. My mom always told me "don't judge a book by it's cover". JMO

His arm is around her. Her arm is NOT around him. I've been known to put my arm around someone I'm not romantically involved with just to get closer in the picture. But I'm kind of the hugging type.

I totally agree with everything you posted. He didn't represent himself truthfully to this woman. I don't know that he really planned on harming her so much as hoping she wouldn't remember anything the next morning.

He obviously was ill-prepared to commit murder and cover it up....it doesn't appear a whole lot of planning went into this.

My guess is he got a little too touchy-feely after they left the gas station, and she put up a fight, damaging his pride, ego, and ruining his plan .

I do this too and I assure you there is no sexual motivation behind it unless its with my adorable hubby. lol I hug many people around the waist who are our friends both men, and women when our photos are being taken. I am from the south so of course I am a very huggy feely kind of person and so is all of my family members, and friends.

I'm wondering about a different sort of relationship. She's older, he's a student, she's a nurse. It could be possible there was a mentoring relationship here that started to go bad -- at least for him. Perhaps he expected an easier entre' into the field, or something else he thought she could provide (contacts, job, references). If he wasn't the brightest or most hard working, or if he was in some sort of trouble (visa, grades, behavior, etc.), she may have tried to distance herself from him.

Just an idea that's been nagging at me since the start. IMO
