(May 9, 2002) -- LBPD now calls him "John Doe #213." They discovered his body, burned beyond recognition, inside the burned ruins of an abandoned home at 329 E. Louise. They believe he suffered blunt force trauma to his head before the building was set on fire on September 29, 2001.

4’11 and 92 pounds, this is one of those cases where I wouldn’t be surprised if the age estimate was wrong.
 
What is the point of burning down an abandoned building after killing someone in there? Wouldn't that just draw more attention to the victim? Wouldnt there be a pretty high chance that he would've decomposed in there without being discovered?

You’d think so. Maybe just trying to burn any DNA and other evidence. Hard to imagine what’s going through the mind of murderer.

Lets hope UP3340 can someday get his name back, and his family receive closure.
