On 12/4/1983 children were playing near railroad tracks when they found the decomposed decedent inside an empty Southern Pacific Railroad boxcar. Two bottles of empty Oriental medicine "Koong Yick Hung Far Oil" were next to the decedent.. Tattoos: None seen. Jewelry: One (1) white stone butterfly on elestic cord worn around neck.

There are many similarities. Cheri & Jane Doe are both 5’3, 110lb Asian women, and last seen/found deceased in the Los Angeles Area.

Not the best match but maybe Chiu Le Jean (MP8501)? Missing September 1983 from San Diego, CA.

She's about the same height, weight, and location but she's older then the estimate for this Doe (45 vs 30-42).

I wonder what the problem was that she had two empty bottles of this medicine which seems to be a rub for joint pain etc.

The oil could’ve been for something as commonplace as arthritis or the aches and pains might’ve been a secondary symptom connected to a more severe disease.

eastern/homeopathic medicine has often been used instead of western medicine sometimes due to financial restraints, and other times, due to religious beliefs.

I could be mistaken, and if I am please correct me. But I was under the impression that if anything health related is discovered upon autopsy, HIPPA prevents LE from publicly stating so.

The only time I see ailments/conditions mentioned in NamUs are when the injuries or conditions are publicly visible. something like a cleft palate or scoliosis, or healed fractures for identification purposes.

I have never come across an unidentified person in NamUs with a severe disease like stage-four cancer for example.
