How does the priest bury the body under a cement slab in someones yard without them knowing whats up? Was he contracted to do some yard work? If the folks in the home lived there 20 yrs I dont get it...but I also didnt read the article.

Of course the article also says that he's been missing since 2009, but the rape charges are from 2013, so apparently he wasn't completely missing...

Strange that back in 2009 police didn't seem to be aware of the text message from Maria, saying she might be in danger. That would have been such a red flag. Wonder what happened there?

When Canyon News asked Detective Blagg about a reported text message that the victim may have sent to a friend the night she was reported missing he responded, “We have no information regarding a text message.”

So they knew him... I wonder if he did landscaping/yard/concrete work on the side and did a project for them. I can't imagine a concrete slab showing up in their yard that they didn't ask for and then not asking any questions. If they had hired him from knowing him (even if it was casually) I'm sure they'd never suspect what he had done. I hope they find this guy. Horrible enough to murder someone and bury them beneath concrete, but to bury them in someone completely unrelated to the crime's yard takes it up a level in my opinion.

the weed plant is big enough to go over the damn fence..... if these ppl trafficked weed then i would think they were shady enough to possibly be involved or know something about Maria in their yard.
