24 Feb 1984, 30 - The Los Angeles Times at Newspapers.com

Newspaper article states the UID as 25-30 years of age, murdered prior to being struck by the train and not likely to be a transient. Given the “California” tattoo, MP in CA beginning of 1984 and possibly even end of 1983 that align with physical characteristics should be considered. Hopefully, this one is able to be solved with the information listed as long as UID was initially reported as missing.

Here is the UID's NamUs profile. Does he have any exclusions listed?

It's unfortunate that this case has differing "facts" depending on the source we're seeing.

NamUs gives his age as 14 - 17.
It says, "Circumstances of Recovery:
On 02/17/1984 the decedent was seen sitting on the railroad tracks by employees of the railroad. They yelled at him but he did not acknowledge them and was struck by the train."

Bumping case up. I wonder if they can still get DNA, but I am guessing that chance is long gone. Poor young man.
