The map location given in the file is here: 34°00'23.0"N 118°13'24.3"W · 2727 E Vernon Ave, Vernon, CA 90058

It's an industrial area with lots of spur lines running to the back of various warehouses for deliveries or pickups. The nearest tracks visible in the map are across Seville Ave.

On cardboard makes me think a homeless woman who died in her sleep.

Poor lady....

I found this....are we talking abandoned rail road track in Vernon, CA? VERNON, CA

A lot of photo's from that area, especially the train tracks. From the article:

The other day I found myself in Vernon, CA. Aside from being the new home to The Hundreds HQ, and an obnoxious (and odorous) Farmer John’s plant, I really can’t tell you what else this industrial city is known for. Located adjacent to the Downtown L.A. area, it definitely gives off the impression that you wouldn’t want to be walking around there alone late at night. But since it was still during morning hours, I figured it was safe to go for a stroll with my camera. I had noticed these desolate train tracks while driving to The Hundreds one day, and decided to go for a walk and explore.

Homeless campsite sought for Vernon’s most vulnerable

Was she found in a homeless camp? On this random picture it looks like the railroad is near.
