Good find! I wish we could find more information about the circumstances of Lynne's disappearance, she's another one of those '''Few details are available'' cases. There's just so many of them :(

I found some yearbook photos of Lynne from 1976 & 1977. Lynne grew up in Austin, Minnesota and attended school there. She has beautiful, big eyes which could be useful in making comparisons to Jane Does.

So little information, I’m intrigued with the name Deneen, seems like a surname?

Father obit

AUSTIN -- Ronald E. Everson, 55, of rural Austin died Monday (Sept. 12, 1994) at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.

He was born Feb. 28, 1939, in Lyle. He worked at Hormel Food Corp., later working as a truck driver.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Julie Everson; three sons, Leon of Preston, Ken of Albert Lea and Mark of Austin; two daughters, Lynn Everson-Berg of Los Angeles and Kim Foreman of Farmington, N.M.; seven grandchildren; his mother, Esther (Johnson) Everson of Lyle; two brothers, Richard of Austin and Philip of Lindstrom, Minn. He was preceded in death by his father.

The funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lyle, with the Rev. Harold Luecke officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Mona, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin and one hour before services at the church on Friday

I do think Deneen is her middle name, I forgot to write in my post that Everson is her maiden name.

Lynne has been missing for 32 years today.

It says in her dad's obit he is survived by his daughter Lynn Everson-Berg of Los Angeles, so she may've lived there at some point.

Looking at NamUs again it is interesting that it says under nickname/alias Lynne Everett
Is Everett another name she used other than Everson or possibly a typo?

Not sure! :)

Bumping, the 34th anniversary of Lynne’s disappearance passed recently.

I'm still a bit confused by this. Is Lynn Everson-Berg really still missing, being she is mentioned as living in LA at the time of her father's death in 1994?

Lynne Deneen Berg
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Lynne Deneen Berg was last seen in Costa Mesa, California on April 1, 1989.
Hello. I am Lynne’s cousin. Her maiden name was Everson which was her stepfather’s name. She divorced Alan Berg in 1987. I am 10 years younger than her so I do not know what last name she was using at the time of disappearance.

She wanted to leave California and go back to MN where my aunt lives. She contacted my dad (her uncle) for a plane ticket. They were close and wrote each other often. I have her letters still.

Anyway, my dad bought her ticket but she never showed up at the airport to pick it up. I guess my dad contacted the police when he couldn’t get ahold of her and all her stuff was still at the apartment. The then boyfriend (I don’t know the name) supposedly knew nothing.

And that is where we are at. Her mom and brothers are still alive. I always hoped my aunt would know something before she passes. My grandmother who loved Lynne dearly died not knowing. My dad used to contact the police every once in awhile to see if anything was known.

Lynne was a wonderful and intelligent and giving person. Interesting fact- She interpreted for deaf and hard of hearing people while she was living in Texas.

My grandmother who loved Lynne dearly died not knowing. My dad used to contact the police every once in awhile to see if anything was known.
Welcome to Websleuths cmateo. I'm saddened that your cousin is still missing after all these years. Thank you for providing more information about her disappearance. Do you know how was her boyfriend like? I find it troubling that Lynne vanished without taking her stuff

I find it highly suspicious. I don’t think it was willingly. She was much loved by family and could have come home anytime.

As for boyfriend- I only know what my dad told me and he was reluctant to share- but I think she was leaving him/breaking up with him.

I also know dad took an interest a few times when serial killers were announced as being caught in California in the 1990s and we looked at pictures of unidentified women that were found in hesitant hope that we would at least know.

She is still missing. That was at the 5 year mark. Family was still holding out hope. It’s been 30 years now.
