Thank you to whoever enabled this case to be featured on the main/home page of Websleuth. It seems this case has not gotten much press and now that a body has been found, if it's Maribel, the sleuthers will need to get to work and try to find out who the heck did this!!!

I woke up to this announcement on the news this morning...

The area this body was found is just a few miles from my house...

raying: for her loved ones as they wait for identification...

and raying: for the loved ones of this found person should it not be Maribel...

IHAVENOCLUE I'm 20mins away from there. I know the area a bit, is it near the Vineyard where the body was found? I'm saddened by this news. Local media reporting an OC Sheriff media conference around noon, but that's not confirmed yet as far as I can tell. Will update with links when I can.

I drive the Santiago Canyon Road quite a bit... But I don't know off the top of my head this specific location where the body was found...

But I know, like you do, that there are many remote places where a body can be "dumped" (sorry for that word )

But residents alerted LE to a foul odor... So it sounds like the body was not hidden away too much...

I am interested in the homes/businesses (if any) located near the site...

Police say a body found in a remote part of Orange County is a 36-year-old former Army sergeant who has been missing for two weeks, and her former roommate has been arrested.

Orange police said at a news conference Friday that the body found in a canyon late Thursday night has been identified as Maribel Ramos.

I just read the update, I'm heartbroken for the Ramos family.

I may be wrong... But I believe in one of the more recent articles it was stated that Maribel had asked Joy to move out ....

Does anyone remember this, as well?

Or am I getting it mixed up with another case...

Joy told CBS2′s Michele Gile on Thursday that he and Ramos had words with each other — she asked him to move out. He added the argument was not a big deal.

Think that was first mention that she wanted him to move out.

I wonder if she was found somewhere they might have taken the dogs for a walk and he killed her there?

Possibly, although presumably there are also welfare grounds as there would be noone to look after him.
