Martha Moreno, 66, had been staying at the Grand Vista Hotel, 995 Enchanted Way, in Simi Valley and left about 7:30 p.m. after leaving for a walk, Simi Valley police said.

She was last seen on a hillside above a business center just west of the hotel, authorities said. Moreno was described by her family as active, fit and a frequent hiker. However, she is not familiar with the area where she was last seen.

Moreno was wearing a pink dress and her cellphone is not working.

A woman who went missing in Simi Valley was found and reunited with family members Thursday morning.

Martha Moreno, 66, was found in good health at approximately 11:40 a.m. in hills north of Madera Road and Highway 118, officials said.

Moreno reportedly told Simi Valley police that she had departed on the hike "to blow off some steam" after a disagreement with a family member Wednesday night, officials said.

However, Moreno became disoriented as night fell, she said, and wandered in the Simi Valley hills for most of the evening hours.

The 66-year-old did not require medical attention, police officials said.
