There are still family members around, also her father. Her brother, although it's a man, has similar traits. Can't bring their FB pages up and I would never contact them, but I wonder....I guess they went on with life, because the remembrance of loosing her is very painful. And I can totally understand that from a psychological being human point of view.....It's just that I would be acting different.

Hello, I literally just learned about Mary Ann/her case. I hope she is out there somewhere, safe and doing well. Glad to see there are others that are thinking of her.

Is there any proof that she actually ran away from the detention center? Maybe she ran into someone inside, probably a staff member who tried to continue abusing her and killed her... there is no proof except the word from the detention center... and frankly I doubt the police have looked for the girl very much... it is a positive thought although depressing... I imagine that at her house where she ran away no one reported her as missing or showed their face... what a garbage family and what a badly designed system... the police do what they want they do not look for or take care of anyone... I hope one day beautiful girl that your story is known and the guilty ones go to jail...
whatever it is
rest in peace

@spartanx , I agree that its possible she never ran away from the detention center and something happened there. Almost 44 years missing! Hoping to eventually find out what happened, and most importantly FIND MARY ANN!!

Any time I read stories about Children running away and never heard from again by a facility, I wonder if someone is lying. Too many times we have heard stories saying kids were runaways and then you find out that administrators covered up a violent crime. The school in Florida comes to mind with the little shed for "Punishment!"
