Forgive me if I'm naive, but is there something in the TOS that prevents us from setting up and promoting a crowd funding account for Gitana's family?

With a site as large as Websleuths we have to be extremely careful when it comes to allowing fundraising for anything on our site.

Can you imagine if I gave permission for everyone to go ahead and advertise their fundraiser? We would be inundated and we would have no way to check to see what is and is not legitimate.

When we do allow a fundraiser to be posted we have to go about it the right way.

I have asked gitana to contact me. So far I have seen nothing from her stating they have set up a personal family fund. If there is a direct famliy fund for her loved ones please email me the information at [email protected]

It is very important that if you are going to set up a fund you do so with gitana's permission. I would advise against setting something up first and then telling her.

It is heartwarming to see everyone coming from all over to let gitana know we are thinking of her and her family in this extremely trying time.

O/t.. I now live in a third world country that is an expensive tourist destination.

There are resorts, of course , and people who have rentals that are lecensed an insured.

There are also airbnb that has no licensing and no insurance. They rent under the table. I was astounded when I saw Delta airlines had some kind of partnership with airbnb,

Yes, some people are trying to make some spare money. Some people I know here have plenty of money but feel no need to waste money on licensing and insurance.

There is really something wrong with this guy. Has not even had the decency to post something about murdering people. How on earth could posting something "hurt him" in court? At this point it is imo to late but in thinking about it it really is repulsive.

I am starting to wonder if he has this so skewed in his mind that he bears no responsibility?

I would love to know how long they had the hotel. When I first heard and saw this I thought arson only because of the ferocity of it. I did not know what was inside. Then when I heard him say his family is in a hotel that bothered me as well.

I truly hope they are surveying him . Did he have any other source of income?

What did they do with human waste? There are so many angles to this that make no sense. If it was squatters that would make some sense.

What idiot lets campers that use propane park inside? It's all so insane. I suppose I am just trying to make some sense out of something that really has none........... I dunno ..............

This is an example of the advertisements. Posted on the now memorial page last night. I have removed the phone numbers. Also posted at that site by someone familiar with the building and it's occupants was a post relating to a third secret exit on the second floor. An exit made through the cement into the auto building next door. I hope that posting this is not against TOS...if so...my apologies.
