I thought it might have been a bit farther back but nope, that's the spot. Looks like a trail than anything else. It further cements my belief it wasn't MW that drove it down there. It was a BMW, not some junker or truck he was trying to push it's limits. Unless he was fleeing someone, going as far as he could and then ran away further down.

But the other side of my logic leads me to 'Occam's Razor' and to look at it with realistic discernment.

I know that there have been multiple extensive searches done, but how many cases have we heard about where the missing was later found close by after "thorough searches". The likelihood that MW was abducted only to be later killed and discarded, at this point, is slim as no body has been found. In that scenario a body would have been found by now, typically.

We really know very little about MW's movements or doings after 5 am that day.

Pure speculation but maybe the PI identified and interviewed the "friends" he was with and may give information based on what they said. I would be curious to know if the PI is working with LE and LE knows and approved what is going to be released at this press conference. I hope so!

Wow! They have people on surveillance walking up near where his car was found and walking back down on August 10th. They are offering a $50k reward for information leading to Matthew.
