Every time I look at the map looking for places I might drive if I had a body in the car, I wind up looking at Otay Lake, Otay Lake Road, and Route 79 on the other side of what appears to be hills/mountains. There seems to be pretty much nothing out there.

I also do remember, when i worked in that area, homes/neighbors would sometimes be 1/4 mile apart. thats how rural it is. Plus, only LE around the area that ive noticed were just border patrol. Very vast part of San Diego.

My friend and I were discussing this case and said it'd be a good alibi to go to the casino and get on camera while on the way to disposing. Okay, I know it's unlikely, but all kinds of things run through the mind. I imagine the casino added traffic and the need for more cameras and LE though.

I just passed through San Clemente and there was a freeway sign that said there is limited access across the border. I would have to think he wouldn’t travel over the border.

yes ive been there.. its in the middle of nowhere.. only a gas station right next to it. other than that, just a local elementary school.

Just a little back story, i used to be the IT director for the whole school district in that area, so i would travel frequently between the schools in that area. i call tell you it takes approx 45 min to each school, but the way to get to them.. its basically windy 2 lane roads in between woods, hills,mountains. Most of the time, im the only car on the road. Thats how secluded this area is. Occasionally, I would see a border patrol vehicle parked.

Interesting tidbid. Blackwater Security (formerly), which was that private military security organization hired back during the war, had their training site in one of those towns -Potrero. Potrero is close proximity to Campo

^^^ I didn't link that, but just made a comment that Little is challenging this guy Dames to go find Maya if he thinks he can. I know Dames says he's the world's foremost in his field, but yes, taking what he says with a grain of salt until he proves he can find Maya.
I'm more interested in going that direction because it seems to make sense that it might be wise to go hide a body in that direction. I know you know the areas surrounding San Diego county. What are your thoughts on which direction to search for Maya? Do you think going east would be a good bet?

Below is an interesting and hopeful read. LE going back recently,for hours, tells me they are crossing the forensic Ts.
Someone is not that smart. Not going to get away with it IMO. I’m hoping the gun hearing ( photo of child with guns etc) is part of getting those kids out of there soon.Or at least planting that seed. Not the photo but the ( sickening) description is out for public knowledge. They appear to be keeping constant presser on someone. Tracing the freezer, uncle etc. We are not privy to how much they call, follow him,question people who know him, etc.iMO his entire “everything” is out there. Someone is in a marathon with a skilled and trained army. Just look at Barry Morphew’s mug shot. He looks beyond exhausted.

Things may have changed over in TJ now, I hope so, but we and people I know had experiences of being pulled over and attempts to extort money from us by their so called police. Years ago, they wanted to hold on to my drivers license until I came back to that street to give them the cash they wanted.

I don't think it'd be necessary to transport the body to Mexico and take additional risks. However, if he or helper did get caught with a body over there, I think he would be kept in a jail over there for awhile, until they determined whether the death occurred in the U.S. or in Mexico.

I remember hearing on the local news about this veteran marine stuck in a Mexican jail for seven months.

In doing a little research on this area I find it's had more than a couple homicides, and victim's families have petitions to clean the area up. Sounds like your speculation is well founded. Here is mention of a stabbing and a homicide victim:

I don't think LM would personally risk it, but he might have paid someone to make that trip across the border. However, given that he was gone for 11-ish hours without his phone, this suggests to me that he was off taking care of the burial himself; perhaps with an accomplice.
Apparently he didn't take street cams in to consideration?

As I posted upthread, the countdown has begun. IMHO, we are literally right on top of an arrest coming.

Not sure if this article was posted last week, but it's a detailed explanation of the recent search warrant.

They used a 3d crime scene scanner, and there's a video explaining how that works. They set one up in the Millete's garage.

I interpret that as looking for evidence created when he was putting her in the vehicle for transport. I tend to think she was murdered in the bedroom, but anything is possible.

This speculation is predicated, of course, on a murder actually transpiring at that residence. It has not been confirmed, so this is all just "amateur opinion and speculation!"

Hi everyone. I went back to find LM's workplace and I couldn't find it. Is he still working? Does he have a C.O.? Are the kids ever out of his sight? I hope they pick him up soon.

While anything is possible, I can't imagine a military site allowing someone with known illegal arms (and a huge cache at that) to be at the workplace. Too risky.
