"Martinez alleged, "May had wanted a divorce, and was having an affair with a married man, whose wife was pregnant at the time. May Millete had an abortion prior to her disappearance on or about January 8, 2021. May had expressed interest in leaving the family. She had been intoxicated more frequently, out drinking with friends and her relatives, and other men. May had been acting erratically and locking herself inside her bedroom and would not allow the children to see her at times and she would not join the children for breakfast, lunch or dinner."

"May performed or entered into those things we know to be sexually wrong. She had no shame. She had no sexual shame, and she gave up going to church. May did not let anyone know where exactly she was going or when she was going to return to the house."

These people are monsters.

Oh my gosh.
What awful things to say.
I suspect during these months these allegations have been repeated over and over again for the kids :( jmo

Not only is he a threat to Maya's family and his own kids, I would imagine he is laser-focused on casting those "spells" on every single person standing up to him right now (the judge, the prosecuting attorney, etc.).

I would be legitimately scared of this man if he were have to been set free, even with an ankle monitor. He has already proven that he is not above trying to hire henchmen to do his dirty work.

Rot in jail, Larry. You do not deserve to ever be a free man in this lifetime.

Imo.

Absolutely @swedeheart. Even the volunteer searchers have commented that once LM was incarcerated, they finally felt like they had free reign to search for MM without fear of LM -- and these are complete strangers to him.

Larry's lawyer's after- court speech.

Lord, help me.

ETA: Oops, my bad. This was already posted and discussed yesterday. I somehow missed the video of just her speaking. I'll leave it up for anyone who missed this debacle.

eeuuuuwww character assassination is so not classy.

True. The 29 pg document filed by the defense (Request for bail) complete with LM's bragging rights (employee appreciation certs) reads worse than an 1850's scarlet letter -- with LM dictating the script. It's horrendous.

Citing ‘Clear and Convincing Evidence,' Judge Denies Request for Bail By Larry Millete, Accused of Killing Wife May ‘Maya' Millete

11/4/21

In issuing her ruling, the judge said the court found "there's clear and convincing evidence that he's threatened to commit grave bodily injury against another and there's a substantial likelihood he will carry out that threat," then denied Millete's request for bail and granted the prosecutor's request for no bail, ordering that he remain in the custody of the sheriff.

After court, Martinez told NBC 7 that Maya left the house in the past to go biking in the desert and hiking in the mountains without her husband. Martinez said that "she can still be alive."

Maya's sister Maricris Drouaillet and her husband, Richard, attended Thursday's hearing, as did some of those who helped search for Maya, who went missing in January. Maricris was visibly saddened by the proceedings, weeping during the hearing, still crying when she left court. In other developments Thursday, NBC 7 learned that the Morena Valley woman had petitioned the court for custody of the Milletes' three children, who are 5, 10 and 11 years old and are currently in the care of Larry's parents.

Huh? Googled Superior Court Judge Maryann D'Addezio and Larry Millete and don't find any news of a change??

She said it at the end of the hearing yesterday and she mentioned it in the previous hearing about the phone calls.

About 16:45, "all further matters in this case will be heard by Judge Mooring"

It appears California Courts assign Judges to hear different levels of the charges -- in this case, Judge D'Addezio (Dept 12) is assigned to felony arrests (Dept SB-12) whereas Judge Dwayne Moring (Dept 16) Supervises the South Bay Court and hears Criminal Master Calendar (Dept SB-16).

Assigned Judges | Superior Court of California - County of San Diego

ETA: Superior courts in California are the state trial courts with general jurisdiction to hear and decide any civil or criminal action which is not specially designated to be heard in some other court or before a governmental agency.

I much prefer State Judicial District Courts (such as Colorado) where one Judge presides over the case from the first appearance to trial. MOO
