7/7/25 Update: At the readiness conference on Monday, his lawyers asked to move his trial — scheduled to take place next January — to a different courtroom, although it is expected to still be held within San Diego County. However, no reason was given for the defense team’s request for a change of venue. Felony readiness conference hearing was reset on 8/7/25 @ 1:30pm.
8/7/25 Update: Judge Enrique Camarena rejected both motions presented by the defense team. The first motion sought to move the trial to a different courthouse within San Diego County, while the second requested that jurors be selected from outside Chula Vista if the trial remained in the county. Next motion hearing on 8/26/25 @ 8:30am & felony readiness conference hearing on 9/19/25 @ 1:30pm.

It doesn't matter. The conclusion will be the same. He will spend the rest of his life rotting in jail.

Hi there. Good to see you.

MOO, it matters if you're a trial watcher like I am. I hope it's televised. I'm local. Are you going to follow the trial?

Sure, it seems he'll be found guilty, but it depends on how the jurors view the evidence. So many times, the verdict is not a sure thing. Remember Casey Anthony's trial? There's been many surprise verdicts. Jodi Arias had to have two trials.

One thing that might give jurors pause is that Maya's body was never found. I'm still hoping her remains are found before trial, with more evidence pointing to Larry, just to make it easier on Jurors so they can send him away for life without any doubts.

Thank you, good to be "seen". : )

No, I'm not going to watch the trial b/c I would be shouting at the screen. I don't want to see him or his pathetic excuse for parents. I don't want to see the anguish in her sister's face, but I will be a prayer warrior throughout the trial and check here for updates.

As far as Maya's remains, I've long had the thought that he is demented enough to have tucked her away in one of the many underground caverns they have in that area. Given the "shrines" we've seen him create in the past with his candles, curses, and incantations, I'm visualizing some creepy shrine to her remains where he intended to visit her and at last, have control.

What a small, pathetic little man. Maya's spirit was just too big and bright for his misshapen ego. Let's all think of her every time we see a sunflower. So beautiful and bright, like Maya.

Prayers for Maya's family to be given the peace that only God can grant, through merciful grace. They are an inspiration to all.

Honestly, if there is even the slightest chance he will be exonerated, I am happy for every additional minute he sits in jail awaiting trial.
