Its weird to me the car rental place didnt think it was strange that a child was wearing a wig. I know kids do it for fun but it seems weird she has a hood on covering it. I myself would have said something to the child "what a pretty wig you have on" just to see what reaction mom and Daughter had. If I didnt feel comfortable with their reactions I would have 100% reported it as suspicious. Maybe even took my time doing paperwork waiting for cops to show up. Not that they could have done anything but maybe it would have stopped the trip from happening. * Im in no way blaming car rental place. Just saying in today's times you can't ignore anything.
Its just so heartbroken for Melodee. I hope AB gets everything she deserves.

I think it for sure made them stand out more than blend in and I would have thought a child AND a mother in a wig unusual. I doubt I would have been so bold as to call attention to it though. More likely I would have assumed one had suffered burns or cancer or some such thing and the other wore theirs for solidarity or something.

You guys really know how to make a person feel uncomfortable. I was just thinking out loud. Now I see your point and yall are right but to be told over and over is insulting and makes a person feel unwelcomed to give any opinion.

Please don't stop posting. I don't think anyone is trying to make you feel uncomfortable. It's so hard to remember we don't all have shared life experiences.

I think the responses were from folks who have seen a child upset or cry because someone didn't know the circumstances of why they were wearing a wig. I'm sure their reaction is from a place of personal pain. I have never known a child who needed to wear a wig. Only women with cancer (which also bites the big one).

I'm sure it's terribly difficult for a child to feel alone and noticeably different from their peers. It makes sense those who love them will be protective and extend that to others.
