It’s been said that she has made that trip many times and rents cars often so I would be interested to know what was different this time.

Ashlee Buzzard, 40, was arrested at her Lompoc by Santa Barbara Sheriff's Department deputies at around 7:40 am on Tuesday.

The body of missing girl Melodee Buzzard has been found nearly three months after her unexplained disappearance.

Law enforcement sources confirmed the 9-year-old's body was discovered early December in Utah, per ABC News.

Melodee’s body was recovered in an area where she and her mother, Ashlee, had traveled in October.

It is believed that the girl was killed and was likely already dead in October, before she was reported missing, sources told the outlet.

IMO, they probably did a very thorough and minutely detailed forensic analysis of the entire crime scene and tested everything they collected.

we were told by LE it was oct 7th car rental place
Oct 9th Ashlee spotted at gas station with some other female
Oct. 14th school reported her missing

It would appear that Melodee was killed on the very last leg of the trip coming into Utah. Unless that wasn’t her in any if the video sightings.

yes, I am a bit disappointed in ABC (I think that was ABC) who reported likely dead for months before she was even known to be missing.

I have to think LE found GPS evidence of her trip from the Colorado-Utah border to Vandenberg that gave a strange detour to the location at the NV-UT border. Either from the rental car tracking data (if possible) or from a phone.

Possibly, or possibly they got tips from people/police forces checking CCTV and were able to track her route with cameras.

Just wondering why they would've needed to ask the public for info, or taken so long, if they had her gps.

Perhaps she walked a long way with M, and that was difficult to retrace...
