Hello Everyone,
On November 30th 2010 my father Michael McCurley left my grandparents home in Apple Valley, CA after getting into an argument with my grandfather. He never returned and his body was found 5 miles away in February of 2011. Unfortunately, I was living in San Diego and attending college so I wasn't able to be as involved with the case as I wanted to be. My grandparents received a call from a anonymous person that worked for the department stating that the police had mixed up evidence with another case and were trying to cover their tracks. Unfortunately we were not able to get much out of them after that and the case has grown cold. I have decided to start looking into it again and heard this was good place to bounce ideas and have multiple eyes look over everything. I've attached everything I had received from the department. Disclaimer was my father was living with my grandparents at the time and had been a drug user in the past but had been sober for a few years. We lived in Apple Valley for many years until we got older and moved to Northern California, so my father was very familiar with the area. I believe the police just figured it was another drug user and didn't do anything but try to save themselves from a lawsuit.
