I couldn't snip a single word, not even for the sake of space:

:gold_crown:

It is a very good post. But, unfortunately, in today's world, things are starting to turn topsy turvy. You have a guy in the C Anthony case who tried to bring awareness to a possible missing child and now he is under scrutiny. You have a flight attendant who goes on a hissy fit and he's rewarded with celebrity status and, of course, the whole world has know his sexual preference. Everyone and everything is subject to scrutiny today it seems and the media's availability. Legalities seem to take the upper hand and people know it. I think people are afraid to get involved anymore because then they are put under the microscope. If Mitrice did walk all that way, don't you think someone along those roads might have seen her in those 5 hrs, yet no one called to report it?
I can't blame the couple for not approaching her when she was discovered in their backyard. I had the same thing happen to me, only a male wondering around in my yard, after he knocked on the door, talking gibberish. He wanted to come in. I called LE. He was mentally disabled and had wondered off from his sister's home, but I had no idea until LE responded....and women can be just as violent minded as men. That was in a small town. I now live in a city, and will not answer the door for anyone I don't know. It's just the way it is any more. "Couple killed by two men selling magazines door to door." All they did was open the door. Clerk or waitress being friendly and smiles at customer. Next thing she is being stalked or worse. It's terribly, terribly sad, but true.

Without seeing or hearing tapes from that station, it's really all speculation as to what happened that night. The mother said her behavior was "erratic" after viewing the tape. What does that mean to you and I? Belligerent drunks are erratic also and when I lie down it's usually in the fetal position...so it's up to your own perception at this point.

The officer says right in the document that reading was for 30 seconds, when you x it by 2 Mitrice was in the normal range.

His second reading was 38 bpm in 30 sec.

38 x 2 = 76

Normal range is between 60 and 90 bpm.

The confusion lies in the way the officer wrote the reading. She may well have been in normal ranges, but he wrote 38 bpm and 42 bpm on a 30 second reading. I can see how that can be confusing.

Sharpton To Ask Feds To Probe Mitrice Richardson’s Death

Civil rights activist the Rev. Al Sharpton vowed this week to file a federal inquiry into the death of Mitrice Richardson, a missing 25-year-old woman thought to be mentally ill whose remains were found last week. She had been allowed to leave a sheriff’s station nearly a year ago against the wishes of her parents.

I agree it is confusing. Would make more sense to calculate the 60 seconds and write that down.

I am curious about COD. If Mitrice died of natural causes, or from exposure likely nothing would be proven at the autopsy. But let's say Mitrice had a brain tumor, that would perhaps cause listed behaviors, can that be proven with the autopsy on a skelton? Mental and/or Personality Changes (Brain Tumor)
These can range from problems with memory (especially short-term memory), speech, communication and/or concentration changes to severe intellectual problems and confusion. Changes in behavior, temperament and personality may also occur, depending where the tumor is located. These changes can be caused by the tumor itself, by increased pressure within the skull caused by the presence of the tumor, or by involvement of the parts of the brain that control personality.

I guess an expert on skeletal remains would be helpful on this thread :)

I'm not certain, but does any one else see a full skeleton at 2:11 in the video from this link? You have to enlarge the video.

She was seen three times after her release and ID'd with dental records.

LE said he didn't think a COD could be determined since there was no sign of foul play. If she had been strangled the perp probably would have left whatever he used. I wonder if her belt was found there? In most strangulation cases, the hyoid bone would have been broken. If she was asphyxiated it wouldn't show. I don't know if a brain tumor could be found by just the bones, sort of doubt it, but I know they can find certain diseases, drugs, etc. Sorry, not an orthopaedic person.

This information needs to be linked. Where did you read that she had not slept for 5 days?

TIA,

Salem

I remember reading a few days or several days. It was one of those things that only appeared in one article, like the "being with nature" comment.

If that's the case, it could be that she was that weak, but considering her mental state, that could have left her in a horrible place where taking her own life seemed like the best option to her.

How would she have done this...just exposing herself to the elements? I'm not familiar with the area or if there were cliffs around where she was found. I'm more inclined think it was a human predator or attack from wildlife.

Animal is definitely credible either for the death or for moving the body into such rugged terrain. If she wanted to kill herself, she could have used a sharp stick or rock or something to slit her wrist or some other vessel.

There are cliffs in the area, but she was basically found in an open area with dense foliage, no trail nearby and very rugged terrain. LE concluded early on that she did not fall. But who knows. According to them, the body was not hers.

The only way I think a human could have murdered her is if a hunter thought there was an animal in the bushes and could not see it was a human. There is no way a human could have placed a body there without a helicopter.

Whatever happened, if at the hands of someone or something else, had to have happened during daylight assuming she wasn't out there for more than a day.

From what I gather, being bipolar without meds sounds like hell. That combined with lack of sleep, being lost, and knowing that your professional life may be over would be enough for me to kill myself.

In addition, if she thought someone was after her, etc., she may have hid until she dies of dehydration, exposure, etc.

 • #734
Since the reports on her just speak of a skull, leg bone, etc. I'm thinking wildlife might have moved her as mentioned above. What has me intrigued at this point, (unless it is just an illusion, poor photo quality, or maybe my middle-age eyes) is that photo. What "I assume" they are carrying out really does not look like a skeleton, but an image that looks very much like one of the women on that mural. The way the body is posed, especially her legs. Should I go hit the wine now or later?? Wish we had someone with photo experience who could maybe do something with that pic.

I commend Mitrice's father for his bravery and conviction to finding out the truth about Mitrice.

This comment below makes me think that Mitrice's father may think that Mitrice was murdered.

“I’ve been following the story closely and was very concerned,” he told The Wave. “Who was she last seen with? Was she ever released? I need answers and hope there can be a sheriff’s investigation and maybe the FBI can find out exactly what happened to Mitrice.”

Right, I read in one of the articles listed above that LE said there was footprints appearing that Mitrice was running (where? I am assuming when they supposedly went to find her after the 6:30am sighting).

I had mentioned early on that I felt Mitrice was chased into that area a/by an animal b/by a human predator.

I don't see what you are referring to....if someone could enlarge it, would be super!~

HB, I am listening to the 911 calls again. On the YOU tube "Mitrice Richardson Police Recordings", the last 911 call from the gentleman listed seeing Mitrice at 5:30am (not 6-6:30am). Also from the location of the Sheriff Dept and Monte Nido, can Mitrice really walk that in 4 hours?

Also, I really feel like she was raped/left alive and dumped there, ended up in this guy's backyard, then just wandered and came across an animal ...JMO.

I wanted to show map of mileage. If you click on icons, there is link with relevant information.

She could walk this, but I'd like to know what kind of shoes she had on and if she still was in possession of them at the house sighting. I'm not too fond of the dark either, and I wouldn't have ventured out there, but then I wouldn't have left the station until morning either. What are the chances of someone hearing of the sighting and they had her ---- then took her to the area of the sighting to throw things off? Want to check some things out, BBL.

I missed this one, thanks!~

Yes, he evidently feels very strong that she was. I think if the autopsy came back with any other finding, I (JMO), don't think he would except it. Which is his right and if I were in his shoes, I might feel that way. Someone needs to investigate it and get to the bottom of it tho. There have been inconsistencies or discrepancies in this case, as there are in many. I'm still waiting on the tape of Latice finding out MR had been released. Why hasn't it been released? Furious mother and not to understanding officer? Also, the issue of BP. It's just my opinion and I'm NOT starting rumors. It would take a thorough psych exam, along with ruling out any other psyche or medical conditions, including substance use. Not something that can be done by reading journals. If it has been found that she was ever diagnosed or ever on meds, it wasn't publicize.
The reason I SUSPECT she MAY have just been hopped on super weed, is because she had been going to work all week, and the only comment we have seen regarding her behavior there was she was "giddy" the same day of the restaurant incident and her arrest. Her mother says she was depressed, yet her actions described by her co-workers and the employees and fellow patrons at the restaurant do not describe that at all.

Was she just using her car as a temp closet....going from one job to the other, after work to play....change of clothes, etc.,(many people do, but usually with the help of a backpack or gym bag) or was she actually sleeping in her car?? How did she bath and groom for the next day?? No one came forward and complained of her appearance? Her MAYBE being high on laced marijuana and not knowing the effects could have easily happened if she par took after work or on her way to the restaurant. ( I don't think she ended up there ramdomly....think there was a reason she was there.) The chit said two parties at her table, yet only one meal, and yes, Kobe steak retails from $150-$200/lb, so that could easily be the cost of her meal. So if she was expecting someone, or was with someone earlier, that has not come forth either. Maybe just an error on wait staff?

Whatever happened, it truly needs to be investigated. There has been much we haven't learned, heard or read and I tend to believe this is from both sides, but here is a young women, who touched many lives, now deceased and answers are wanted.

Sorry for the long post, but just my :twocents:.
