You know we see a great many families of missing persons that do file a for a legal death (death in absentia).

But that is a remarkably short time, one year.

I'm not making a judgement call one way or another but I really can't remember a family doing that so quickly? Usually it's such a painful and arduous experience for them to conclude that their beloved family member who is missing is more than likely deceased that it usually takes a bit more time that a year.

But then again people are different I guess. All JMHO.

I believe the parents had her declared dead and filed the lawsuit is because, IMHO, they were angry at LE and felt her missing was LE's fault.

I wonder IF there was NO lawsuit if they'd be looking this hard for her?

Anyway, from the press conference it appears LA LE has been there canvassing for about 6 weeks alongside LV LE. That's why they have so many possible sightings, 70. Because they talked to doormen, security guards, workers at the casinos, etc............some of them said they'd possibly seen her a month prior and sometimes it was just walking down the street.

None of the 70 possible sightings had been recently. Although, since it started to hit the news last night, they were getting MORE possible 'tips.' Plus I'm sure the $25K doesn't hurt! ;)

Anyway, they were asked about her possibly being bipolar and they said they didn't have a diagnosis of that. I think that's just people speculating.

I hope after today's news conference and most likely hitting the airwaves tonite, they'll recover her! Or at least find out she's OK!!

JMHO

PS...........I bet her family is just sitting on pins and needles! Prayers they have a happy outcome in their quest for their loved one.....fran

It's not even been a full year yet! I have always believed Mitrice was still living - somewhere - and just mentally compromised. I have family in SoCal and asked them long ago to keep an eye out for Mitrice. I truly believed she was there, somewhere.

In this case, I 100% believe LE messed up. But I'm not a big fan of people profiting from the "death" of a loved one.

Ok here it goes. If I remember correctly and I can go back to the beginning if you need me to. The parents didn't say anything about the bi polar at the beginning when she was acting weird at the restaurant. IMO I don't think they knew. The lady Ronda came out as she is a lawyer and said that Mitrice had some tendencies and was saying weird things. She had known a couple of things that the parents didn't know. All's anyone has to do is go back to the beginning of these posts. If I recall also the dad went thru her car to find out what was going on. Another thing I recall is Mitrice did not live with the Mother or the Father but, lived with her Grandmother so she could go to school. When she got in trouble at Geoffreys the grandma was the one she called for money.

That is essentially what I remember also.
I also remember Mitrice had posted on her myspace page some rather odd ramblings.
I know that family has said she is intelligent and was going to continue on with her education. They said she had a job as a secretary.. correct me if that is wrong.
But she was starting a new job within a very short time period.
Later it was stated in news articles, posted on WS, that she had another job at a gay bar.

I am unsure if family knew she was bi polar or just that she had some issues.
There was a lot going on in her life about that time period.
The jobs, maybe more college, a break up, maybe that all contributed to some kind of 'break.'
I hope it is Mitrice in Nevada.
I hope she is alive and well. I hope she gets the help she needs and deserves.

That's what I thought. I'm not sure it's bi-polar either. Based on her age, it could be schizophrenia.

Just from knowing my friends son. He was a genius owned his own business but would go off at any given moment when things were going his way, so he thought. He had his own carpet cleaning business made big bucks and people would call up and say they were calling the cops cuz he wouldn't get out of their house unless they would do what he told them to do with their carpets. If customers didn't want extra cleaning he would get pissed and not leave their house. He was bi polar. I'm just telling that cuz that's how they act. They are too intelligent for their own good. It's seems there is a thin line between genius and sorry to say psycho.

He also had tens of thousands of dollars in the bank and would pan handle at 7 eleven cuz he thought people owed him something. It was something in his own head. It's a very strange illness.

(KTNV) - A $25,000 reward is being offered information on the whereabouts of a Southern California woman who may be in the Las Vegas area. The LAPD and LA County Sheriff's Department announced the reward for Mitrice Richardson Thursday.

This story has some interesting quotes from the parents.

Wow, yesterday was a big conference day that we couldn't hear and a big breakthrough but today nothing. Strange.

Thanks Fairy. I noticed the Casino's don't have any video.

I meant everyone said there should be videos of Mitrice in Rio Casino, but they said in an article that video survellience was too blurry

So, there was video - it just wasn't clear enough to be sure it was her. If they can tie future possible sightings to video, they will find her.

I've checked everywhere I could. I see no new word.

Praying that Mitrice is found safe!

I still don't understand the rush to have her declared dead. It is still not even 11 months since she went missing. I hope it was not just done in order to be able to file the lawsuit.

I do hope she is found soon, if she is in Vegas, she may need medical help. If it was a family friend who claims to have seen her and this woman (Mitrice?) did not even say he/she had the wrong person, it could well have been her. Most people would tell you that you were mistaken.

She has to be declared dead in order to file a wrongfull death suit. Otherwise there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

No mystery in that.

Why all the big Press about Mitrice and now she's on the 2nd page? I thought they were on to something. They did the same thing with Brittney Drexel acted like they were to something and then nothing. What is going on? Why is nothing else happening with Mitrice?
